(I know its my second post, but I'm just gonna get right down into it! Keep in my mind, I'm not claiming this line as my own, its been used a million times I'm well aware) Setting: A large University somewhere in San Diego Approach Style: Direct Game SK - "Excuse me, hey can I ask you a question?" Target - "Umm.. yea sure" SK - "Yea sorry to bother you, I'm new on campus, can you tell me where the library is?" (body language and tones indicate that i'm not really interested in finding the library) Target - Yeaa its just straight down here right at the fork blah blah blah (SK turning up the body language) SK - (pause for slight tension) I didn't really stop you to ask you that. (brief pause to gauge reaction. Target will either smile and say something like, "Oh yeah?" or "I didn't think so" or she will look confused or give you the bitch face - often she will just wait to see what you say next) SK - I just wanted a reason to strike up a conversation with you and introduce myself. Hi, I'm "SK". (handshake) Target - I'm _______ SK - So where are you off to right now on this beautiful day ______? From here she will almost always say some class, or maybe she's going somewhere fun like sports practice or the pool. Maybe she's just on her way home. (I had one girl that actually invited me to the pool with her immediately after asking where she was headed haha) You can prepare lines for all of these things. If you are good, you can freestyle it from here. When coming up with things to say beforehand, I ask myself, what can be said in response to this? Is it something funny and provocative, or is it flat with little room for good flirty conversation. (Yea all this where are you off to, what are you studying talk isn't that flirty, but really its how you say it you know. Sometimes theres just not much else to say, so you use these routine lines, but say them in a way thats like, "there's something else on my mind and you know what it is." I probably approached 25 girls on one campus with basically the one line in my head, "Excuse me, where is the library" - No its not genius and I didn't come up with it or anything. But it can be an effective way to stop and talk to girls. Many girls will turn off their shield for a second, thinking their just helping out a stranger. Then you hit them with the realness and they just blush, smile and laugh, if they are the kind of girl I like in the first place. ... funny story, I got this one bad little blondes number last week, this sorority girl. And I get a text from her a few days ago saying, "You hit on my roommate today. Small world..." ! no way out of that one, god knows I tried... whats bugging me is she never did tell me which girl it was that's her roommate. Haha thats an accomplishment in my book. |

If you got the guts, direct is the way to do it. Looks like you do |

I see what you are doing, but I would be wary of approaching a bunch of girls on campus with the same line. Universities are huge, to be sure, but you will still probably see them again. |

Nice. I'm always a bit weary of doing these bulk approaches at university. If you do 10 a day for a month, thats 300 people. In such a small place you will be that "weird pickup guy"haha. Well something like that, you get my point. |

well opener is just a start, the part where you guided the conversation and transition must be pretty cool otherwise they won't give you their numbers. Well done. Cheers! |

well done, i like the line. It's actually a perfect for pretty much anywhere - even when you're downtown. I'll try it next time I'm walking down the road and see an HB. |

I've got a better one... just used it today had the girl laughing and all then we transitioned into a convo. I walked up to her very serious, and said "I've got a serious question for you... it's very important." HB: "ok what is it?" *pause for effect* "How much does a polar bear weigh?" *confused look on her face* "umm I don't know" Foxx: "just enough to break the ice, *big smile* "hi I'm foxx". Gets em every time... |

Hey dude I came by your thread again from another forum where you pointed to this. Im sorry for the bump but nice job. Any new feedback on what happened when you started approaching too many girls and you get a bad name for yourself? Or is that never actually an issue? And it still looks like you got rejected for the number a good deal. How did you deal with that? Did they give a reason why they rejected you? |

The Geisel is pretty hard to miss, if you're talking UCSD SK - "Yea sorry to bother you, I'm new on campus, can you tell me where the library is?" |
