Haven't been in the game for long, but the only opener that I use is the "what do you think of tattoos on girls?" and then going on to my sister wanting her boyfriends name and all that. As a shy person, I've only used this line twice (I've only ever opened 2 sets). Any other openers that you can suggest? And also, what should I do after opening a set? Cos when I opened these, I got a good reaction but I had no idea how to follow it up. I just stuck on that subject. Thanks |

hey thanks, will try it the next time I'm out. Need to go through it more before though lol. Don't want to end up stumbling on my opener. Where do you go after the opener then? Do you get another story in there? |

thats my problem, i actually just posted it lol. after i open with that and they give advice for my "friend" i just stand there and look stupid and dont know how to transition so i just say thanks and leave |

Don't need more then 2 openers. You know what's gonna open if you have more then 2 openers? Your gonna hesitate in field deciding which openers to use. I would suggest just going down to one opener. You see a set, you already know what to open with. No hesitation. As soon as you run of out things to say, instead of bailing, you need to break all the rules and talk about whatever. At least this will keep you in sets longer. Don't worry about the boring AFC conversations. |

Wow.. man this post has been a BIG help. I've really been bombing lately and couldn't figure out why. But now I know why: Too many openers. Dammit... I have 8 openers I use. I have too many and it has been causing me to bomb because I'll see a hot girl out of the blue.. and hesitate because I have to pick the best opener. Youy can ask her if she likes cheese for god sakes, and will work just fine. If you do all the subsequent stuff correctly, she will will 9 times out of 10 not even remember how the conversation began. The opener can litterally be anything, just decide if its direct or nondirect. I dont think there is any need for canned openers, cuz they dont really have any specific guidelines- just blurt out whatever the fuck comes to your mind. Just be prepared the finish the job after with all the DHV and kino and whatnot, and you'll be golden. |

Thanks alot. Resisting hesitation is crucial.

I am serious, cut down to 2 openers. From that, when your out, you probably will not use more then one. |
