Hi guys,

This happened to me a few days back and I really can't figure out how I might have opened it.

Situation:
Walking through a large crowd, against the flow. Hot emo girl (UK emo, not USA scene girl) walking straight towards me, major eye contact and she's smiling before she's even got past me. I wasn't really "present" at the time so didn't clock it until after she was already level with me.

Conundrum:
How would you open a girl in this situation? Stopping her in the crowd would just lead to both of us being bumped and forced close proximity (uncomfortable for both). Running after her would be really awkward and the "stopping her" problem still exists.

So what's the solution on this one?

Yeah its difficult to have the presence of mind to open a girl on the move. There is a good chance that a direct opener would have worked well with this girl. Smile and EC as you are both walking towards each other. Stand your ground when you are close ( not too close though ), still making EC and say - wow, you're really cute! ... love your energy .. love your blue hair etc.

Then transition to rapport stuff, getting to know her etc. Asking her about herself in a normal manner. Suggest you go for coffee or whatever for a few minutes (false time constraints are great for insta-dates). If she can't make it no biggie, get her number and call her later.

If the energy is really good, you can go for an instant make out. This has to be calibrated however. Also you risk screwing up the f-close by doing this as a lot of girl's ASD will go up post smooch.

The only way you are going to get good at doing this is by practice.
