I usually send out a generic message. One that can be used on anybody. "Heyy Hear from you soon, Gage" I've had replies commenting on how attractive it is that I show confidence when saying "Hear from you soon" I've also introduced myself. Though you may like leaving it with "Hear from you soon" it's up to you. Also, if their username or their "About Me" section mentions their first name, I'd put that in here as follows: "Heyy (insert name here) You can also leave out "I noticed we both have a LOT of the same interests." if their profile isn't very descriptive, but you still find them attractive. And finally, your profile becomes the deciding factor in whether they will reply back to you or not. Your message will open the door, once they see that.. the next thing they're going to do is see if you seem interesting enough for them to reply back. |

Just got a number right off the bat with that site. Here's what the convo looked like: Me: Heyy Hear from you soon, Gage Her: hey. haha.. well i hate to type. but your right. i dont have alot of time to work out anymore. but yea. Me: haha. hey. everyone gets busy its only natural ya know? besides you look like you could go without exercise and still be in good shape for a while. gotta give credit where credit is due. Her: thanks. text me if you want. im going to bed. ### ### #### What I did was simple. I took something from her profile "I want a really good guy in my life who knows what he wants in life. Who can make me happy and keep a smile on my face. And a major plus is to be in good shape because I work out 24/7 and I want a running buddy who can keep up with me." and turned it into a funny comment. One key element was taking what MilesHayden said in another topic "It’s good to mirror the style of your correspondent. If she’s brief, be brief. If she’s chatty be chatty. But always stay one energy level above her. If she doesn’t ever use smiley's or lol’s don’t use them. Use punctuation and “haha”!!!! If she never “x”s you only “x” when she’s been good. Choose a word she uses in her text and use it back, pick up on subtle writing styles, notice, does she use punctuations at all, is there a gap between one sentence and another or does she write like this, without any gaps at all. " Notice how the style of my message nearly mirrored hers? Instead of "lol" I used "haha" - this may not seem all important but I feel it had some way of making it feel like we shared something in common without having to point it out.[/i] |
