Hi I'm Leon just need feedback on these openers.

CAFE or RESTAURANT
ME:Hey mind if I ask your quick opinion on something
HB:Sure
ME:Which you guys(neg) do think would sting more at the eyes, brewed coffee or doctor pepper. (DHV:Humor)
HB: *Laugh* Why would you wanna do that.
ME:Well, I'm trying to get back at my friend for shaving my eyebrows last year.
HB: *Bla bla
Me: *Hey did you friend shave your's too (NEG). O wait nevermaind Haha.
O yeah so which do you thing would sting more?
HB: Bla bla try to take it from there

ANY VENUE
ME:Excuses me can I ask your opinion on something.
HB: Sure
ME:What would guys(neg) you do if you have a ghost in your house?
HB:OMG do you have a ghost in your house.
ME:Well, no but my friend is living in a house where she keeps saying that every night she hears sounds of footsteps and creeking in the night.
HB:BLA BLA
ME:*Interrupt* First time I heard it, I asked if it was just her mom and dad getting it on, but she got angry gave me a purple nurple.
HB:*Laugh*
ME:But to be serious I feel so bad for her, She's starting to really freak out. One time it got so bad, so I just went over and slept in her room just so that she would feel a little more secure (DHV:Protector of love ones)
HB:Why don't she move out.
ME:Well its a little complicated since she and her family worked really hard to get it.
HB:Bla
ME:*INTERRUPT* and they are also kind of short on money.
then it goes on.
I'd Appreciate the feedbacks.

saying "excuse me" is a DLV

friends being short on money may also be a DLV

Its being polite. Which means you are well educated and well-mannered which actually gives DHV.

The initial 3 seconds of my mind when reading that is
that it kind of sounds like you're taking a survey.
I agree with the response above. Excuse me = DLV.

It's not impolite to go out and take action before approval.
There's something empowering and attractive about it.
After all, people are drawn to power and attraction.

You're using some creative stuff which she is bound
to have never heard. So kudos on the creativity. Please
field test it and let us know how it goes.

i personally think both of these are poor openers though. They are truly opinion based but the style of opinion seems dry and stinks of DLVing a friend which in essence DLV's you. I dunno buddy, I'd say find something more YOU and less generic. Get creative, on something you like and know a little about...these seem a little immature for the 21+ bar scene.

Well, they actually not for a 21+ bar scene. I'm not even 21 yet.
I thought they are a little fun, and more aloof to talk about it, and sort of related to where we were.

The first one makes you seem like a frat boy brat, the second one could work, but remember don't say can I get your opinion...besides being horrendous grammar you're asking them for permission. Stick with I could use another opinion on this or a personal variation of it.

I noticed that everyone in this forum says not to use "excuse me can I ask your opinion on something" even when MM teaches it.

Even Mystery says don't ask questions when opening because if they say no you are shot down before getting off the ground.

Also, remember MM is mainstream now girls have heard a lot of these lines before so your best bet is to use situational things or personal variatioins of Mystery's classics.

You mean you just go in there and sit with them immediately.

Then how are you supposed to insert the "time constraint", and the "look over the shoulder as if you are ready to walk away" if you don't have a transition question to fill the gap between talking and not talking if you just go in.

No no not at all. I just said to phrase it differently.

Instead of "Excuse me can I get your opinion on something?"

Try. "I need a female perspective on this." Or "You guys seem like regular girls (neg) I need your take on this."

Obviously don't just sit down with them, I just recommend statements instead of questions. Doesn't allow them to throw you off your game before you are ready for it.

That actually makes a lot of sense, good one I'll take note of that.

I love this, and sometimes take it a step further and say i need an "average"
girls opinion.

Those opinion twist openers are very useful and work better than the average opinion openers...sniper negs are great!
