I was just watching some old MM material and I came across an interesting anecdote about Style (a.k.a. Neil Strauss). In his prop bag that he would take out sarging he would keep a big ball of lint from the filter of a dryer. He would tear off a small piece, walk up to a HB10 and without saying a word start ferreting through her hair, pretend to pull out the lint, hand it to her, then walk off (to a situation of social proof). He wold come back a second time and so the exact same thing again without saying a word. If the HB didn't put her hand out to recieve the lint the second time he would simply shrug, and poke the lint back into her hair. Then walk off open another set (for social proof) and continue with his evening. Finally he would go up to her again, lean in and pull out the WHOLE BALL OF LINT (nearly the size of a tennis ball) and hand it to her. Then say (in a neggish fasion) "I wonder how long that's been there?". First, respect for the balls it takes to do this. Second, respect for making it work. Third, respect... just respect. |

Haha, that sounds classic. I've heard of pulling a small piece of lint off her as an opener or a neg, but not to that extent. It sounds like it'd work perfectly if she was getting annoyed with you the first two times, as the whole ball of lint provides comedy relief and smooths her tension. Sounds like a great one to try. |
