I would say no, it may show your intentions and get her ASD fired up. |

Society teaches women that they need to be cagey about their age. It's a stupid social rule but it's one you need to play with. You can usually tell from a girl's appearance how she feels about her age. If she looks young but she's dressed to the nines with tons of makeup, she is trying to look older than she is. If she's an HB you can work this with a creative neg, but take it easy because she's probably sensitive to the topic. Same goes for an older woman who goes out in teeny bopper clothes. Either way, play at your own peril. |

I agree with Paul, because it matters more how you say things than what you say, you could open with everything. |

I would be hesitant about using age as an opener - but not for any of the reasons mentioned above (though they are all fair and reasonable). Asking a generic question like age goes dangerously close to being a standard interview question like every other AFC uses when picking up women. Like anything it is not irrecoverable, but I would avoid it if possible. Perhaps (and I just came up with this so it may be stupid) if you wanted to turn it into a fun/silly opener which will also act as a disqualifier you could ask her how old she is in dog years? Hell if Matador can pick up with "I like pickle juice".... Well you get the idea. |

If its an HB9 or 10 that looks under 21-22, I might go with how young are you, but I still wouldn't recommend it. |

Avoid personal questions in first 4-5 min's if you can... Which includes where do you live, how old are you etc... |

I would say it is ok if you ask it the right way. I might try something more like asking if they are going to a local college. This seems so much better since you have other topics to talk about. Plus all you care about is if she is legal. Does it matter if she is 19 or 20 or 22. Not really. All that really matters is that she is college age and in a bar. I like haveing a transition right away like this rather than having to just jump topic and do a wierd transition. Mastermind007 |

I rather avoid that question and use it for neg like i did yesterday (if she is younger)... I was like... "anyway, how old are you"... (after 20 mins of conv) she was like: 20... Then i said... "ohh, well ...you look pretty young, like 18-19" and same moment i started talking to my friend so she didnt have chance to say anything back. If someone asks why is a neg... Younger girls like when they look older and when men give them more years, and its oposit with older girls... |

Asking her age as an opener poses distinct problems. Firstly you are potraying interest and its way to early in the game to do that and it is intrusive females are sensitive about their age I actually never approach the subject even days into I dont care age doesnt matter, with that being your opener age barriers start to come up it should not matter how old she is (she is in the club after all) and you will probably get a lie If you were a female and someone came up to you and asked your age you would instantly reject their approach take this as an example lets say you are in a club and someone walked up to you and said "hey how much money do you earn" you would either lie so you look the man or you would close the conversation |
