Next time you are at a bar, order a pitcher of something. The bartender will ask how many glasses you want. Ask for a straw. When he hands you the straw you rip the wrapper off and throw it into the pitcher with authority. Then all you need to do is put the straw in your mouth, start drinking, and do a lap of the bar. I promise, someone will comment on "that guy with the straw". Use it and strike up a conversation. Normally the spread of people who comment on it is about 2/3rds guys and 1/3rds girls. If a guy says something, start a convo and quick check to see if hes with any girls youd be interested in. If not, keep it brief and move on. You just made a friend, and thats never bad. If a girl says something, (and if you try this enough times, i promise they will) she has just opened you, and systems are a-go. You need to keep a keen ear out for comments on your newfound drinking method. Some common things I hear are "wow, that guys hardcore", "are you serious?", "this guys a champ". Etc. My personal response is to turn to whoever makes the comment and say "Cups are inefficient and Ive got a lot of celebrating to do." Guys wont usually ask what your celebrating. Women will. Not sure why. When they ask I just say im celebrating life, and then continue to some DHV story. I know this sounds stupid but Ive been doing it every wednesday for years at my favorite bar and it is a very rare occasion that my drinking out of a straw goes unnoticed. P.S. this is usually best done at a collegeish bar or at least somewhere where consuming large quantities of alcohol are considered ok. |

Of the pitcher? Yes. But I have the tolerance of an irish dock worker. If you use this bit I recommend pacing yourself so you dont get drunk. Drunk + Sarging = Bad News. |

If Im picking up I dont get wasted. I have been there I have done that I have woke up the next day wondering what the hell I was thinking. And seen a not very pretty sight I might add. Still, yeah it would give you attention the same way exposing yourself to a policeman gets you attention. Some people thinks that its cool but the main part will think that you are a loser who has to do crazy shit just to get attention. Another good way of getting attention is to just be fun, have fun and keep a high energy level. If you enjoy yourself people will notice you and it is not as tryhard. Ezo |

I appreciate the feedback both positive and negative. I didnt mean to make it sound like I do this bit specifically for the attention. I honestly prefer drinking beer through a straw. Ive just noticed it draws a lot of attention and Ive started many conversations with both men and women because of it. I dont dwell on it. Like any opener I move on to a new topic as soon as I can to make it known that the straw is just a straw and there is much more to me. Call it peacocking... if you will. Just because you have a straw in your pitcher doesnt mean you have to drink the whole thing, let alone do it quickly. Its just an accessory. Ive used it as a lock in prop. "Ooh can I drink from your straw?" - "Sure, tell you what, you can have it, but you have to give it back to me before you leave, That straw and I have been through alot." It sounds stupid but its happened several times. The other thing to consider is the environment. I do this once a week, at a college bar, on $4 pitcher night. It is perfectly socially acceptable to face a pitcher in this scenario. At an ultralounge, club, or even house party, your totally correct, this behavior would be sophomoric at best. |

Haha Daxx thats a good one. esp since every once in a while you gotta just focus on having a good time instead of getting too much in your head. Esp id youve already been around the block a few times. There are so many guys Ive gone out with that are like I cant drink Im sarging or frown if I get a beer. Theryre like thats not gonna help your game. Im like 'but I want a fucking beer and Im not changing all sorts of crap that I normally do just cause some guru says not to drink.' Yea Im out to meet girls and have fun and relax. Not SARGE the balls out of some place like a newbie with his first opener. Ive been through that stage and can just go out Sorry if I got off topic on the drinking thing but thought it needed a bit of addressing. |

Back about 5 years ago, I ran a similar thing. Order a pitcher of beer from the bar, when she asks how many glasses, I simply replied... "None". |

Mini Field report: After hearing some doubt I made double sure to verify my methods at the bar last (wednesday) night. I got my pitcher and made it halfway across the bar before some guy named zach made a comment, i talked to him for about 2 min and he introduced me to his gf and her three friends. Long story short I went home with 2 numbers. |

At the end of the day I believe it's a good method, especially if it's working for you. I'll try this one day as I'm always up for sarging in new ways and I'd also consider it a form of peacocking as it takes alot for me to get drunk plus this method of drinking will get you noticed. Just one thing I don't get: Why are you throwing the wrapper of the straw into the pitcher? =] Otherwise, awesome, I've seen similar to this work. My friend (who isn't in PU) once ordered a 'jago-bowl' (basically a big jago-bomb in a fancy big cup thing). He walked around with it and had people (mostly girls tbh) approaching him all night like "Wow, thats impressive!", "Can I have a go" (neg-ing her on her use of sexual innuendo... And he hasn't even read The Game, bless him) and "Woah, WTF is that?" So this definately is amazing... If you've got the 'stomache' for it. |

I just re-read what i wrote lol. It was a little unclear. I meant to say "tear the wrapper off the straw and throw THE STRAW into the pitcher"
