| Post subject: | Direct game and My name |
So there is an HB10 in my Weather and SPAM lab. The first few weeks she never payed attention to me or anything, which makes me think she isn't single (which I won't let stop me) because girls check me out quite often. However last week (we only have lab once a week) I was able to make her laugh quite a bit (nothing detrimental to my value) and remained unconcerned with whether I was pleasing her or not (inner game technique I'm developing. Anyway the labs are tough and there sin't much time for small talk, but I did learn she was from Austin, Texas. Today In lab I was thinking of doing some direct game on her I need to know if this is a good Idea: "So do I have to call you Texas all semester, or do you have a name" - her name - "My name is gus, pleasure to meet you. You know I'm intrigued by the way you carry yourself, I was going to go out and grab some good food and have a well-made drink this weekend, you should come along, how about you give me your phone number and we can see what's good" Rejection Scenario: "I have a Boyfriend" Me: "Oh well I'm sure he is a confident guy wouldn't mind you making a new friend, laugh, I understand, It was nice to meet you ________name" If I do this confidently with a smile, and keep my cool I believe this direct game will work, however I'm kinda AFC still so I wanted your guy's opinions. Also My name is Augustus, I go by Gus. Often when people I already know ask me hat my real name is and I say "Augustus" they're very impressed and thing it it is a unique powerful name. However introducing myself as a Augustus seems a little strange to me...How would you guys react if someone introduced themselves as Augustus to you? |

I would just say: "Well... You can CALL me Gus..." That way she'll feel obliged to ask you what your real name is, and you can tell it without beeing uncomfortable about it. |

Augustus is a pretty powerful name, so introduce yourself as so. Just let her know she has your PERMISSION to call you gus. Also, please spare yourself and don't make the second thing you ask her be a date or for her number. You need to simply throw this in to the interaction when it hits a climax. When you are making her laugh a lot or you are both laughing.. just after that point, you make your move. Works best at the end of the class. Don't ask for her number till the end or when you are leaving, it will make it awkward for both of you. "You know I'm intrigued by the way you carry yourself," OK? This is like saying, "You know I like the colour of your eyes, lets date." If you want to use this line, because you actually believe it, then complete the thought. Why does she intrigue you?? A cold read would work well here. If you get rejected... it doesn't mean you suddenly have to be a wuss and apologize for asking her out. She's got a bf? who cares. You seriously need to not care at all. I know it can be hard, but it's seriously empowering on yourself. Lots of girls you hit on will have bfs. |

Unless you're a 60 year old psychologist, STOP with this nonsensical over-thought crap. How old are you? How many people your age do you know who speaks like that? What's wrong with just mentioning a simple fun event for a weekend, peaking her interest for that event, and then just offering to take her out? Keep it simple . . . |
