At which point in the interaction do you think it becomes appropriate (non-AFC) to buy a HB a drink? I generally think after a K close theres no harm in it |

I am probably in the minority here, but i think it is absolutely FINE to buy a girl drinks provided two things: 1) It's not part of your opener 2) You aren't doing it in excess |

What antic said. OR if you want to neg a girl. "Can you buy me a drink?" "no" turn to her friend "Would you like to drink something?" do it in a later stage though.. she has to be attracted, and now she'll get jealouss.  But in general I would never do it. |

I"m not in the "never buy a girl a drink" camp. I occasionally buy a girl a drink, just never early on and NEVER if she asks. Usually when I'm in comfort and we're talking about like and dislikes kind of stuff it'll usually come to something like "you've never had xxx drink? you have to try one" It's very controlled. I don't let them pick the drink and if they don't want the one I like, no drink for them. |
