so i just moved into college so this first week i've been goin out a lot and meeting tons of new people, so i've had the oppertunity to really analyze my game. this is what i've noticed: i can usually open a set without much of a problem, i sometimes violate the 3 second rule and take a while to get in, but it's not my biggest problem. for about the first couple minutes i'm cocky funny and interesting, i can ride off a couple lines, or a routine, but i always end up relying way too much on fluff. i can never find a good transition into another routine so i just opt for the "so where are you guys staying?" or "where are you from?", the lame questsions everyone always asks at college. even when i get a great conversation going, IOI's flying around everywhere, i have the most trouble isolating. so here're my questions 1) what's the best way to keep your game rolling without becoming boring? 2) what're some good isolation moves? |

Instead of questioning make statements like "I'm not staying on campus but I'm taking a full load of classes." She will probably respond with where she is staying or what kinda classes she is taking.1) what's the best way to keep your game rolling without becoming boring? Make open ended statements. (Do a search on them you may find more info) As for isolation moves I can't help ya. I really suck at that too lol EvoJ |

I'm usually pretty direct when it comes to isolation. If it's a 4-set or larger, I ask the rest of the set if I can "steal your friend for a few minutes". The trick is choosing to do this at a point where you know your target will come with you (i.e., you've recieved 3+ IOIs). Isolation with a 3-set only works if you can generate a conversation between the two people who aren't your target. I just tell the target "I want to show you something cool. Come with me." Isolation with a 2-set requires a wing to run interference on the obstacle. I just tell the target "I want to show you something cool. Come with me." |
