Thought about this one, and I remember it worked well when I tried it when I wasn't into the game.

I got this small camera (Canon Ixus) and its fun. I walk around with a wing, ask a nice hb to take a picture of us. She takes a picture... et voila.

BUT now comes the nice part.
You have to complain "ohhh I look terrible, make another one!"
You could try to close your eyes often so they will be closed at the picture...

Take another one. Have something to complain again.

Then your wing says "noo lemme show you. He takes the cam back and puts the two of you next to eachother. Take a picture.

He gives the cam and you and the HB look at it. He'll say something like "I'm gonna get a drink at the bar" and you can reply with "yeah will be there in 2 minutes" to give her a time constraint... then talk about the picture bla bla. It's actually a nice moment for a neg since you can critizise her picture.

Going to a party this friday, will fieldtest it.

Your opinions? :)

I've actually used this a lot. As a matter of fact... This is a picture of me and my buddy Zig when we were in Orlando. I was doing a workshop with KinoEscalator back about a year ago. Anyways, I use to to use the opener quit a bit as a backup. It works pretty well, just make sure you don't over use it in one particular club cause regulars will figure out what you're doing if you do this too much. Also, make sure you have something in mind to transition to.

The problem with this opener usually comes people do it but then don't have anything to transition to afterwards to hold the girls attention. Make sure to have that thought out ahead of time, and enjoy yourselves!

Just couldn't be true that I was the first to think of it haha! Nice one. Thanks for the tip! Think max 1-2 times per eve (depending on the size of the club, time etc etc) could be nice.

And yes of course afterwards have your routines ready. I could even neg her a bit.. I'm a photographer and tell her what to be looking for next time etc. Plus you use her as a tool... which is good.

Then just go over to some general routines while your buddy is away.

Cant wait for friday now haha! :)

Hey man!

I use it as well but I normally dont milk it so much. I go up to the girl and just apologetically smiles while I show my camera and say, sorry would it be possible...

In 99% of the cases she starts fixing her hair and look good etc. ... for you to take a picture of me and my friend here.

And we have got the same camera, its great isnt it! :)

Im sure you mean IOD not DLV.

DLV is a demonstration of lower value which means that you show that you are not worthy. IOD is an indicator of disinterest.

This is a good one. OG Mystery Method shit. I'm not sure whether Apple paid him for product placement or not, but on one of his vids he talked about the PUA value of an iPhone, partly for its camera.

Also, instead of going right for the target, you can first take a picture with an obstacle or three and enlist the HB to snap it, utilizing the frame to maybe neg her a bit if your calibration calls for it.

"Hey guys you're having way too much fun! This is totally a Kodak moment! Hey, can you snap this? You know how to work one of these things? Button on the top-left. Everybody say Friday Night!"

He goes on to say that a camera can be good not only as an opener, but to use as a grounding sequence as well. Keep a small number of DHV photos (rock climbing, holding your niece, playing guitar, getting mobbed by horny blonds, etc.) on an album and have some little story soundbites to go along with them.

Lastly, if you are using an iPhone or other smart phone in lieu of a normal camera you can also make use of the Google Earth app as a grounding sequence.

"Hey, check this out. You ever heard of Google Earth? My buddy just showed this to me. See here? That's my place. You can probably see my cat, Grover, in the window if you look hard enough. If you're lucky maybe you'll get to meet him."

Of course, that would hopefully not be one big monologue, but instead components of a two-way banter.

I'm sure there are a ton of other apps that could be turned into PUA fodder. However, I haven't yet invested in a smart phone so I wouldn't know! I'd love to hear if anyone can run with this.

I see a post titled "PUA friendly iPhone apps". Anyways...

Good post! Reminds me I gotta utilize this more. 8)

Post subject:  Wish you were here!

Yeah this is great! I'll tell you a trick for one I use to do. Here is a sample pic and my buddy Fealin Lucky.

Me with Brittany

We went around and did this thing called "Wish you were here!" We basically took a piece of notebook paper, a marker and made a sign that said "Wish you were here!" This spawned out of a real life story. Let me tell you the backstory so you understand how this arrived.

My friend FealinLucky and I were suppose to go out with a few more guys from the local Nashville Lair. They bailed on us an decided to go to Atlanta at the last minute. LAME! We decided to go out and take pictures of the hottest girls to show them what they missed out on.

We'd go up to a girl, "Hey, this is a kodak moment you have to help us get a picture of this. But there is a hitch we need you to hold this sign with us. We have two buddies that bailed on us last minute to go out of town. LAME! We're going to show them how much fun they could have had. You down?!?" This worked very well! Girls are always down to help with a bit of revenge it seems. Plus you're having fun and people feed off that VIBE. :D

I even had one girl make up her own sign for me. She wrote "I'm going home with him!" and took pictures with me. ;) She had a good time with it. Needless to say, she went home with me. Still we filled up our cameras and had a kick ass time. This is a one night every now and then kind of blitz, not good to do all the time. BTW, my buddies always regret going to Atlanta. They got down there an hour before the clubs close and never went out. HAHAHAHA.

ENJOY and Wish you were here,

~Jon

The "wish you were here" approach is I guess discovered by brad jackson of pumaskills. He called it the hiroshima opener. The story to back up the opener is the same too! haha

but yeah, that opener works really well specially in groups.
