"Hey this really random but if I didn't come over and inappropriately hit on you in the middle of your workout I'd probably kick myself later." Then introduce yourself, qualify her, and then go straight for the number..."well I gotta get back to my workout but lets exchange numbers and if you seem really cool over the phone then maybe we'll hang out".

Keep it very short, under 2 min tops. You can tweak it for other daytime approaches as well.

This is similar to an opener i've read from one of the other guys (i can't remeber his name - lefts call him "X" for now) who left a long post about cold opening on the street..

X's was:
"Hey, i just saw you on the street - and your ........... caught my eye, i just had to come over and say hello"
"Hey, i was just on my way home and your eyes have totally stunned me.. i would be kicking myself later on if i didn't atleast say hello"

(or something to that effect... you get the point)


It is really a really effective opener as it is just straight to the point; which is the beauty behind that X's pick up strategy..

See this from the womens point of view.
"...come over inapropriatley hit on you..."


You begin with lowering yourself beneath her.

Your not hitting on her. (You're checking if you think she's interesting..)
AND its NOT inappropriate. (She should be glad you're even talking to her...)

Otherwise I think its nice.

I always see the gym as a place of work, and I don't like to mix work and pleasure.

I just think what would happen if something goes awkward, and then you go to the gym next time and see her there.....
