Post subject:  Opener from scratch, Need opinions
I have been vigorously studying the game for a couple weeks now. I feel very uncomfertable using canned material from books and openers online. I understand delivery tops content but it doesnt feel natural what so ever. So I decided to try and write my own opener i think its pretty basic. Let me know fellas is this one good, bad, or needs work as a mixed set opinion opener:

Hey guys, I only got a sec, Id like a group opinion on this. When you first meet a person your attracted to, what's the first trait you look for in that person?

Im not quite sure where it would go from here...Im looking to try it out this weekend. Id like to know if I can make this a little stronger, I feel like its missing its punch.

My first guess would be the men in the group would talk about physical attarction like breasts, ass, or anything that has to do with the body, i dunno. And the women I feel like would lean more to the personality aspect. Let your voice be heard i need it lol.

Shorter, more to the point. Might be conveying a bit of 'I need to conform' frame too much, but hey, give it a go. Then you can go into a bit about how interesting that men seem to focus on physical and women on personality ...

Don't knock it till you try it... Besides, your delivery and frame count the most. The material itself does not hook the set, you energy and vibe does.

Please take this as constructive, not combative but, I think this sounds 100% more like canned material than any of the actual canned openers, and aside from that, it's a terrible premise to start a conversation.

Asking a group of girls (guys in the mix or not) what they look for first in an attractive person implies/insinuates two things; 1.) You lack confidence, and 2.) You need to know this information (further implying that you aren't confident). Approaching a set with this mentality will immediately put girls on guard (the first thing you've done is mention subject matter relating directly to attracting mates) and will probably give you away up front. Remember that girls are gigantic, intent-homing satellites.

On the upside, you used a false time constraint, which is a good consideration. In the first video I watched of Style's Annihilation Method, none of the guys in the seminar used a false time constraint (or maybe one did, can't recall SPAM) when Style had them show their openers.

Also, I think you're wrong in your assumption of what the men in the group would say off the bat. If they're surrounded by girls, there's pretty much two options aside from just being friends (unlikely), those are 1.) He's after one of them or 2.) He's already with one of them. In either actuality he isn't likely to talk that way in front of the girls because he's afraid they'll think he's shallow. Remember that just like we don't view the world like women, women don't view the world like us. They don't understand (or rather they do and hate) that it's not a logical choice to be "shallow" for men. It's in our DNA, it's our instincts.

Yea your completely right i didnt think about it from that point of view. It does sound try hard, im just having trouble coming up with my own openers I wasnt to be authentic.

Don't get down tho bro. Just keep truckin along and you'll get there. Just always try to transpose yourself into her reality and imagine what you're saying from her point of view. If you were her, what would this or that opener tell her about you? Always think about the message behind the words.

have to understand is a opener is just something to start a conversation so it

pretty much deosn't matter what you say at the opener but I do see your point
