Hi guys,

I have a lot of problems with AA which I am trying to get over. So the following opener isn't yet field tested but it would be nice if people could give their opinion of it before I go use it in the field. Here it is (to be used in a club or bar):

you:"Hey, I know you. You were here too yesterday."
she: "No, I wasn't."
you: "Really ? So that drunk girl with her grandma outfit that was dancing like crazy on that table wasn't you ?"
she: "No no, it wasn't me."
you: "I guess I must have confused you with someone else then. ... Oh, that's the girl I must have confused you with (point to a bad dressed ugly girl and smile). "

Too mean... Maybe to a REALLY HOT girl with high bitchlike status... maybe. If you changed the last line to something like,

"But I bet if it WAS you, you would have rocked it, right?" With a coy smile. It gets her to qualify by saying "yes!" or "of course". If she doesn't, well, it's just too much of a neg.

I dont think its that bad. Here is wat i would change.
Leave out the grandma outfit thing. Just say so that drunk girl dancing on the table wasnt you.
I guess I must have confused you with someone else. Thats fine. But then just introduce urself cause the ice is broke and thats all a opener is mint to do. Then run ur game.

I really appreciate your help guys. I will take it all in consideration.

The reason why I made it a bit mean is because when I look around women really tend to like the guys that are mean to them. To give a stupid example, I was in a shop a few days ago. Two guys were really behaving like bastards towards the selling lady. They were laughing with her products, with the income she makes running the shop, ... and then they just left without being polite at all. The selling women's eye were just glowing and she had so much respect for them she even said: "Byyyyyeeeeeeee", in a very exagerated way. Me, on the other hand, I was polite and when I left and told her "Bye.", she didn't even say "Bye" back. It is not that those guys were so great and handsome. They were just treating her like sh*t and I could just see that it was having an effect on her. They were not trying to pick her up but I saw that if they wanted they could have picked her up just because they were so mean with her. This is not the first time I have spotted this pattern. In fact, I have seen this many many times.

On the other hand, I must admit that friendly can also give good reactions. The only condition is that you have to be confident with yourself. If you are friendly in a confident way girls appreciate that too. So maybe I should focus on this rather than walk over to the dark side of pickup :wink: .

Anyway, I like the suggestion in which my opener is a bit softened. I don't think you can go even more indirect. If you ask a girl's opinion she is immediately gonna have a suspision that you might try to pick her up. With this opener I don't think she will suspect anything. So thank you all for helping me with adjusting my opener.

dude, they broke the monotany, whereas you just continued it. worked in sales. bastard customers, whether funny and enjoyable or just bastards were a nice break in the night from the monotany.

So you would rather have 2 guys telling you how stupid and ugly you are than a normal client that behaves in a monotany way ? That is what I don't understand. I would kick them out of my shop. I would never tolerate such behaviour.

Its called teasing dude, they werent actually insulting her. Nice guys are just plain boring, you shouldnt be a dick as soon as you open but youve got to master the tease. The important thing is to never make her feel uncomfortable so it should be back and forth between you and the hb.

I know being a nice guy isn't good. I had no intention to pick the woman up though. I just wanted some candy and get out of there. You don't have to be playing every woman you interact with. This one was not a HB but rather HB1. I also didn't expect her to be attracted by being nice. I didn't care. What I did expect is that she would at least be friendly back like a normal person with a little bit of education would be. But anyway, I don't care. I only cared about me and the 2 guys behaving differently and which outcome it had on the woman.

I also didn't say that these guys were doing things wrong. But you know, the standard theory about negging and being cocky and funny, states that you should not insult her because that will backfire. But these guys were just plain insulting her. Everything they told her was really mean. They went much further than the standard teasing. And apparently, in contrast with what is believed in the community, it had a positive effect on the woman. And I noticed this behaviour more than once in the past. That is why the opener I proposed was constructed like it is. I am not judging the mean guys. I know that being a nice guy is bad if you want to attract women. Don't worry about that ;).
