| Post subject: | What are some GOOD props/peacocking items? |
I wasn't sure where to put this post so I stuck it to opening. What is a good item to peacock, something that could also be used as a lock in prop? I currently have a fadora (I'm not sure how to spell it, but it's a hat), and it is awsome. However, some clubs don't allow you to get in with a hat so I will need something else to attract attention and use to lock in my target while disarming the obstacles. All help is appreciated. |

I use necklaces buddy and rings that fit on my pinky. I took a leaf out of Style's book and mass bought them on the internet. The necklaces are the white seashell ones you always see on holiday and the pinky rings are just snazzy wee fake jewled things. They work because i dont care if i use them but they are easy to attach a story to. Ive even used cocktail stirrers when im working behind the bar, and in one ballsy move i gave a girl my flat keys that were on a lanyard. lol that last one comes with a warning tho, i mearly said ive used it and it worked for me if your game is just starting dont be handing out your valuables lol Hope this Helps, Saint |

I think the hat is one of the best. In cases that you can't, try a youtube search about 1$ origami ring. Basically it's a way of folding a 1$ bill so that it looks like a ring (stays folded by itself. You can DHV while doing it and can get some nice report it with. Her:* says something interesting* You: Wow, I din't realize how awsome you are! That's it, you are going to be my 1$ wife. Hold on a sec. *Folds one dolar bills* You: * Down on one knee* Will you mary me? * Put the 1$ on her finger* anyhow, play it like you want, it's still an interesting prop. |

these things are not things you need, infact your challenge this week is to go sarging without showering or shaving for a few days and get your clothes off your floor. I actually get better results like that. Not sure when you folks go out but for one full day before you are allowed no grooming. mention the fact you smell bad an d need a shower or that you have awful breath. If I want to get all theory based instead of lowering her value assuming higher value you assuming equal or lower value but screw it I am a charismatic chappy and I am sure you guys are too so yar milk that charisma folks xxxxxxxx |

Im sure thats straight up out of Style's rules of the game book Jaybot no? Well i met my exgirlfriend while wearing my pajamas, in the middle of the night, while half asleep, just after taking a shit in her toilet, does that count? However if we have as you have said got charisma what do you think is a good peacocking item? There are quite a few guys out there with charisma whether tailored or not. What makes you stand out pre-approach? Regards, Saint |

Mystery uses some sort of scarf, or feather boa or something on the second season of the pick-up artist. Do you guys know exactly what that is and where to get one? |

as I see it u can use peacock for a lot of things... DHV, lock in, etc.. I have three main peacock items: a bracelet, made it myself (they always go "can u make me one", great opporstunity to neg) a bottle opener hanging from my neck (something not at all common where I live), gives me a fun look and helps communicating my avatar at first sight. and the best one, a puzzle ring. I got I from my godfather, any of u guys can get one and create any DHV story to it. Stylz, u can get any of them relatively easy, specialy the bottle opener, which is also the easiest one to use -Achilles |

Try to go for some really interesting stuff, that's the whole point of peacocking afterall. Get a Green Lantern Ring, Shark tooth necklace (say you punched the shark in his jaw when it attacked you while you were surfing for extra laughter points), the works. |

One that worked for me that was really effective and extremely simple was a pair of really reflective sunglasses (the silver ... top gun style ones) I take these every time i go to a club, not only do they get me a lot of attention, they look great reflecting all the lights. Every time i use them i get girls coming to me and just trying to take them off me and put them on... she's testing me straight away and then i can either stop her taking them or tease her with them or let her wear them and then take them quickly back saying they don't look good on her or "these look so much better on me" if you get what i mean. But you can just play it however you want. Like i said this works well because it's less work for me because i get a lot of girls just coming up to me or if i decide to open them, i have to say very little because she or the group will automatically comment the the glasses. Good luck! |

i actually don't use lock in props much when going out. on school .. work etc i use lock in props. after getting ripped a few times ( necklaces, glasses ) i decided only to wear cheap shit. glasses worked .. hat worked ... scarf works very well .. mp3 player worked.. it's not what you use but it';s more like how you use. it should be congruent with your outfit |

I don't like to particularly stand out at clubs I usually just wear jeans and a black tee but meh if I had to choose something that made me stand out pre approach it would probably be the people around me and the fact I am having fun. |

oooh as for the style thing yar it is but everyone seems to learn teh wrong lesson from it. The book frames it like go out looking like shit, the undertone being peacocked is the way to look good and anything else is bad meh. I don't dress up any more there is no need for stupid pre sarge rituals, spending money on new clothes if you can get girls without it (which I believe almost anyone can) then yar why bother. I think the community is a little confused with tampering with peoples mentality (new clothes new me) which creates almost an alter ego and a sort of psychological safety net for guys ("those things aren't me so its ok the girls think I am a twat") instead of going to work on the cause. Meh it works for people but I prefer to just pull on a tee and comfy jeans. |

| Post subject: | Does this exactly count as peacocking? |
Is being short considered peacocking cause I stand out Im a short guy built like a tank...... does having long hair count cause I got long wavy hair that I sometimes dont brush when going places and so its all over sometimes. When I go to school I have a guitar class so I carry my guitar around does that count peacocking cause Im using props and standing out. |

I use variations of necklaces, wristbands, watches, rings, hats, ties, sunglasses and I try to match them with each other and the clothes Im wearing. I frequently get positive comments for it. |
