Ok, so I REALLY REALLY need some advice on sarging in a club scene. I have numerous openers crammed into my head, but in a club SPAM its difficult to make my material flow and keep the entire set entertained when i have to scream into someONE's ear. the music is just WAY TOO loud to possibly spill out an entire opener. plus, i cant engage the entire set w/o literally yelling. What is the solution to this? Do I just not go to club scenes to sarge and just stick to loungers/bars, etc.? Or is there another method on handling these situations? |

I guess that's the only response that makes sense. If you can't easily talk to people, then the only way to open a set is use a dance open. People not being able to hear you kills your opening. |

so a dance open as in "would you like to dance?" seems cheesy...like every other guy is saying that...but once i'm dancing, theres no where to really isolate because its loud everywhere, so should i try to close on the dance floor?? |

but once i'm dancing, theres no where to really isolate because its loud everywhere, so should i try to close on the dance floor?? Dance opening is a whole aspect of the game in itself, and I am sure it does not include the classic AFC line, "Would you like to dance?" From D-Hollywood: I had the same problem with not being heard. DH told me that when you open, you open to one or two people, but you introduce yourself to everyone in the group. When you run your routine, you'll only be able to run it on one or two people due to music volume. I can't recommend what you'd do specifically, but you'll definitely need to disarm the obstacle(s) in some way before moving into the target. Theoretically, this should also DHV. Also, Monroe and DH both agreed that lounges are better because they tend to be quieter. Chief noted that running game in a club, however, gives you a good way to kino-escalate through dance. Ideally, I would say find a lounge where some people are dancing too - this way you get the happy medium. P.S. RE: The video -- I need to learn me some of that. ;-) |
