| Post subject: | Freshman starting college in a week... any advice |
I am an incoming freshman and am looking forward to starting college. It is going to be a new beginning and a new chapter in my life and I want to make the most of it starting day one. So, please respond with any suggestions and advice for college so I can have the time of my life these next 4 years. Thanks. |

This topic should probably be relocated, but whatever. Prority one should be networking. Get to know everyone as soon as you can. Conversate with everyone. This is made extremely easy because everyone (at least in your class) will most likely be new and naive. Game the hottest girl you can find right away. Let your social status be known. Be outgoing. College, for me at least, was a chance for me to right the wrongs of my past. Basically, self-evaluate what you did right and wrong in high school and adjust accordingly. Remember that really hot girl in high school that 90% of the guys were affraid to talk to? Find her equivalent at your college and go for it. First impressions last forever, so make yours count (sounds corny but its true). Also, make friends with upperclassmen. This may be difficult since you probably wont have amny classes with them, but you just gotta find a way. Its not hard. Upperclassmen usually know where all the parties are and can get you in the local bars/clubs. Basically, be a social butterfly (sounds stupid, I know) from the get go. The longer you wait to be social, the less social proof you have. EDIT: Sorry if I'm rambleing. I'm tired as fuck but cannot go to sleep. |
