classroom: do you know what reading/homework we had to do for today? i totally lost my syllabus at the end of class: this class is gonna be so easy/hard.. (comment on something the professor lectured on) hallway: its so crowded in here; they keep accepting more freshman every year either: did you drop this? (hold out pen or something similar) classroom: how are you studying for this test? (can build this to a study date) or, you know, talk about some crazy thing that happened on campus like a streaker, drug bust, extraordinarily huge party etc |

My best opener, it is quite advanced so watch out. "Hi I'm Slywalker, looks like we are gonna be in this class together huh?" and then the game begins.... I don't like making things too hard, the opener in a new class can be so casual and still perfect. |

I use to sit by a girl and if she seemed bored I would take out a scratch of paper and play tic-tac toe with them and create a conversation off that, ask them what they are doing this weekend and tell them I will give them a call. |
