So over the weekend, my friend and I were invited to an End of Summer BBQ just north of town. When we arrive we see one friend we both know and she tells us there's a keg in back. Now I'm feeling pretty confident today. I've been studying up on The Game like crazy, and peacocked a little with a nice shirt and fresh haircut and shave. As I'm filling my cup at the keg outside I see two HB7's standing by the grill talking and moving the food around. I decide I need to adopt the three-second rule and open them immidately. I walk over to them and in a stumble of thought I blurt out "Sooo....Barbeque, huh?" They notice me and give me a wierd look, like "Is this guy serious?" But I think, 'No worries man. You can still pull this off, just jump into the jealous-ex bit.' And without hesitation I look at the grill and follow up with, "Sooo....Hot dogs, huh?" At this point, my brain and the girls abandon me. It was pretty embarrassing, but I couldn't help but laugh at my horrible lack of game that night. Just thought you all should hear that and laugh a bit. |

Great read. :) Those do happen! The best part is Quote: but I couldn't help but laugh at my horrible lack of game that night.
Great attitude. The best 'improvement' out of getting knowledgeable about the PUA material is this attitude. I used to get crushed by rejection. Now I'm learning and laughing when it happens. Cheers! |

that is good quality AFC yea, when I adopt the 3 second rule especially if i see a set right out of the blue - all thought (even the Game) escapes my mind because that is what the rule is all about - not giving you enough time to psyc yourself out - but also at the same time not giving you enough time to think of a good opener...practice makes perfect - soon, its just Autopilot Game.. -Seb- |

There's this balance... recently I've been working on my attitude, and I find that, more often than not (but not EVERY time), I don't charge in and just open my mouth, I sort of relax and take my time, but within a few seconds, with the attitude of being "out there" and "fun", I can think of something pertinent to say, and with confidence, and expect a good reaction, and get it. It's wierd, it's like busting through this layer of "fear" that is present from years of negative thinking, but it gets weaker every time, and I can suddenly "see" what I can say (about my day or about them, etc.) and brighten their day. I think also I'm not forcing myself to approach every girl out of the blue, mostly girls at the counter so far... I think it's good practice, have a reason to interact, but be different than everyone else they've talked to all day. |
