I never used to go to the gym.....i used to work out by sparring, extreme martial arts, swimming and such.... i started going to the gym recently to get more toned out and leaner for snowboarding this year...... some ppl at the gym take their work outs pretty seriously and thats kewl.... also there is a woman's only section... is it like, not kewl to approach a girl at a gym..... or is it the same as anywhere else. the fact that there is a womans only section leads me to believe that its cuz girls dont like being approached at the gym... there are some really nice looking girls there... but i dont want to get blown out just cuz i approached mid rest of an intense work out session or something.. any ideas for this situation...? thx |

I have been weight training for many years so my advice is it is okay to play game at the gym but remember why you came there, you should be focusing on one thing lifting that fucking heavy barbell not the tight Britney lookalike in the pink spandex doing prone bridges on the mats in the womens section.some ppl at the gym take their work outs pretty seriously and thats kewl.... also there is a woman's only section... is it like, not kewl to approach a girl at a gym..... or is it the same as anywhere else. the fact that there is a womans only section leads me to believe that its cuz girls dont like being approached at the gym... there are some really nice looking girls there... but i dont want to get blown out just cuz i approached mid rest of an intense work out session or something.. any ideas for this situation...? thx (Do not interrupt them in their routine, if they are on the running machine and breathing like fucking Darth Vader they do not want someone walking over and disturbing them, make sure it is to the side or in the sauna etc). |

Just walk up to her: "Hey can you come and check me? 'Cause I've been checking YOU out" :D Sorry, coudn't resist the cornball. Workaholic seems to be on the right track. Use good body language, hold eye contact if it happens but don't go in there to 'work the room'... |

This is my favourite what i do sit in front of her favourite equipment and start doing bicep curls and counting when she enters in close proximity 100,101... oh excuse me I have a deep burn, oh watch out for the guns they will get you. |

haha.... thx for the replies. I know why I'm there..... that comes first.. but i can always make time for a nice lookin girl.. no matter where it is... there was this smokin hottie there yesterday... doing weights by herseklf.. my buddy and i were doing weights... we finished and i went downstairs for my end of day 20 min jog.. and she came down and cycled in front of me.. then after 15 mins... moved to the stepper behind me... i i didnt appraoch since she never really rested.... didnt wanna interrupt plus im a bit outta my element there. im usually very good in get togethers and parties... or clubs or department store, coffee shops etc... i was a bit lost as to what to say at first... I don't know much about weight training and such yet. so i cant really discuss that other than ask for help with something... but if its reasonable to approach someone while they seem comfortable and not into anything.. then ill just approach like it was anywhere and not make specific gym-talk. thanks~ any other tips and sggestions are still welcome...if anyone has anything to add. |
