| Post subject: | ..and who's this guy? |
While being in the middle of a story, routine and new person shows up that belongs to set. Im doing my thing keeping people happy and befriending the obstacles.. Now, when a new person shows up he or she is likely to ask: Who is this guy? Who are you? Who's your new friend? I often use "say really intresting things about yourself, that hasn't to do with your looks..". I rarely get a good answer on this cause its hard. Its even so hard that when I now think about it I dont really know what to say about myself. What do you guys say when your asked this very unspecified question? How do you define yourself? Obstacle just entered the set: Who's your new friend? Me: Im **** but my friends call me Lionheart, cause this one time a killed a lion with my bare hands. Have you ever killed something with your bare hands? Ob: No.. Me: Well, I dont think you would survive very long were I live.. Ob: Where do you live? Me: Okay, lets not get in to any details.. your friends bought this story straight off.. LOL. You seem a bit smarter then your friends over here. |

Don't wait for an obstacle to have to ask the set who you are. Let's assume the obstacle is someone that the set knows. e.g. not an AMOG cold approaching the set. As soon as you notice he enters and your girls address him or acknowledge him, you say to the girl, "hellooooo, introduce me to your friend, it's the polite thing to do." If, on the other hand, the girls complete ignore him, you can ignore him too. Whatever you do, don't come off defensive or antagonistic. It makes you look like you have a huge scarcity mentality and that you're trying to take ownership of the girls even though you've just met them. |

This is what I usally do.As soon as you notice he enters and your girls address him or acknowledge him, you say to the girl, "hellooooo, introduce me to your friend, it's the polite thing to do." If, on the other hand, the girls complete ignore him, you can ignore him too. Whatever you do, don't come off defensive or antagonistic. It makes you look like you have a huge scarcity mentality and that you're trying to take ownership of the girls even though you've just met them. What happend in this situation was that a friend of theirs came up behind me and I didn't see her. So she was allready going "Who's this guy?" from behind me. I found that its not very good to seem like I HAVE TO TELL a certain story. And being to eager and insisting on going back to finish it. I've learnt alot on this since writing this post, and now I rather cut the thread and talk about something else and create a certain "I must know"-feeling inside them. Then I make them do a spin or kiss on me on the cheek - later on rewarding them with finishing the story. And that works great. Quote: The post is very all over the place. And by the way, I must say, reading my own original post now. I dont understand half of the stuff of I was saying. Hopes this makes it clearer. |
