So this is like a root/continuation of another opener by Tyler D. Which is, "I was at Saks and saw these t-shirts for 100$, now when you see a guy wearing a shirt like that do think it's sexy or try-hard?" Now I came up with this that follows after: "Okay, so one of my girlfriends is dating this guy. And like myself she’s high matinence. You know I like it when a girl treats me out to dinner. So she tells her boyfriend, “Hey lets go out and eat somewhere fancy tonight we haven’t done that in a while”. He says, “sure”. So the day goes by and she dresses up and looking foxy right? Whatever and she goes to his place and asks, “Are we still going out tonight?” He says, “No, I wish but I don’t have any money” and while he says this she notices a Nordstroms bag with a brand new 100$ Ed Hardy t-shirt. He blew his date money on himself what should she do?" |

think its a little long for an opener bro. need to really push the question a lot sooner. and act like you are really super super into the answer or else it is going to sound SO rehearsed. |

i thought ed hardy went out of style like a quarter decade ago. anyhow, i agree with the above poster, shorten it up a bit. also, you are basically telling your target your female friend dates men without money/irresponsible and you are leading her to an answer that every girl will give, which is to break up with his ass.

It seems like you have the bait with the initial question, but in your response to whatever they say, you have another question. It's great that you give a reason for why you're asking and you put in a good false disqualifier. Perhaps you could just go cocky funny, bust on their response. You could keep what you have though in the second part if they give a cold repsonse. Anyhow it's a girl relevant opener, could see it opening sets. So I give it the thumbs up. Just don't say all of that in one go. It is too long, but it's ok for a two stage attack. Keep it up. |

thanks guys, i agree with everything you guys said. I could def cut out a lot of stuff. I mean i wouldnt use that as the inital opener just as something to keep the conversation going. The intial opener doesnt have too many places to go as far as answers. I think this could be good once i cut the fat out cuz like you guys said they'll probably say break up with him and then I can bust them why its okay for a girl to spend so much money on clothes and not guys, quite a double standard. |
