Mall Opener This can be used on sets, or individuals who are walking around the mall, or even better when they are shopping/ window shopping. I have used this over 5 times, and it has been officially field tested. Approach as if you are in a hurry Hi, my friends birthday is in X hours and I must find her something, you guys have any suggestions? Make sure they see that you are in a rush, and once they say the gift.. for example, I approached a 2 set and they told me get her a quick 80$ Starbucks Gift Card. Respond with, "That isn't a bad idea, but would you like that gift if it were given to you on your birthday?" Number Close Pull out your phone and use one of these: Wow, you can be the girl who picks my gifts for friends as I take credit for them OR The traditional "I really gotta run, but how can we continue our conversation?" Follow up the afternoon after by saying "She loved the gift, thank you for the last minute idea..Now i'll let you guess who this is |

I like this one. First mall opener I've heard that I think I could pull off congruently. Will try it |

I like it. If I used it I would make one modification. I'd take away the opportunity you allow them to just say no to your opener. Perhaps give them two things you'd thought of and want their opinion on which was better. Because if you ask if they have any suggestions and they replied 'No'. Then you're stuck, although you could use it as a good opportunity to neg them about their inability to think of presents for friends and tease them about what they probably buy their friends for their birthdays. Other than that, I could anticipate some good success with using this opener. Even better you could take them with you around the shops looking for stuff you could buy, but you ultimately won't. |

Tried something very simmilar on a two set the other day. Used my female cousins 14th birthday instead though. Worked a charm, they were full of suggestions about High School musical shit and Zac Effron posters that I negged the shit out of them for! It's a good natural opener too that sounds believable |

That sounds pretty good...Note* great opener! will def. give me a lead in and it could actually go into the cube routine and she would totally love it and be hooked because I already told her I'm only staying for a little bit. |

Unless you're BRAND NEW, I dont advise doing pure indirect during the day time. I did it for like 2-3 years and got very mediocre results. A few lays here and there but nothing really consistent. It's too hard to come off congruent, too little room for growth, too hard to transition, and too easy to teach yourself that you cant open without a pretext. Sure, the set opens, but how many lays do you get from it? You could open with "what time is it?" and get a 100% open rate and a 0% close rate. If you go direct, you might only open 70%, but your conversion rates (to lays) are going to be WAY higher. It's not even because direct is more "effective." It's because direct forces you to fix your subcommunication and body language. Indirect has a tendency to "carry" you like a crutch. Use indirect if you're brand new and you can't muster up the courage to go direct right away. But as soon as possible, transition to direct. Especially during most day time scenarios. As far as number closing, "how can we continue this" is weird. Nobody says that in real life. It's just... odd. Instead, invite her to the bbq you're throwing with friends next week. If she wants to go, ask, "whats the best way to get a hold of you." Much more fluid, much less weird, much more effective. If she didn't want to go to your bbq, she probably wasn't interested in the first place and she would have flaked. |

How can we continue this" may sound weird reading it. Im not taking credit, that was mysterys closer. Thanks for the criticism. But I have been succesful with that Doc. And for a number close, anyone can say anything...I can say that I like ketchup and I want her number and still get it. Also the 21st century number close is great. |

I know it's mystery's #close. It's still weird. It was weird 4 years ago and it's STILL weird.Im not taking credit, that was mysterys closer. Thanks for the criticism. But I have been succesful with that Doc. And for a number close, anyone can say anything...I can say that I like ketchup and I want her number and still get it. Also the 21st century number close is great. The problem with most number closes are that they don't give a girl a way out to teach you to calibrate. So you end up with a lot of flakey numbers because she doesn't want to be rude and say no. |
