I have to admit that I haven't really heard a good "opener" that I felt would really work for me OR that wasn't just too close to being a "pick up line." The ones that open with sexually explicit material just don't fit for me. Perhaps it's because I'm a bit older AND perhaps because I'm a bit of an engrained gentleman. While 10-15 minutes into a conversation with a beautiful woman it might be comfortable and okay to speak of sexual topics or make sexual references. I guess I can't see opening with a line like, "Can I ask you something? I read that 80% of women masturbate in the shower, what do you think the other 20% do? Of cousre they'll probably answer with, "I don't know." to which I can respond, "Oh, so you're one of the 80%." Cute... and maybe a few minutes into the conversation, but not as an opener. The plain, simple, no nonsense opener seems best, but I realize that I need a twist, a "purple elephant" (so to speak... something never seen or heard.). I'm usually pretty comfortable with women in a friendly way, which is how a good PUA should open... not playing ALL of his cards or showing TOO much interest. I have LOTS of lady friends and have had MANY over the years. They can be the best friends AND help me get some perspective on the "other side" of human nature. One rather natural line that was unplanned and came about due to the spur of the moment and circumstances, was when I was at a very busy club one night. There were a rather rowdy group of guys who were drinking FAR too much. They weren't TOO far from me on one side of the club, so I walked over to the other side and sat close to a lady I had spyed. I said, "Hi, I hope you don't mind if I hide out over here for a bit. (as I motioned over to the drunk rowdy bunch). "Some college friends of mine, who I don't see very often...I just needed to get away for a bit and find some quiet sanity. You appear to be a fairly sane woman, espeically in contrast to many of the insanely soaked brains in this place. At least I hope you're not a closet axe murderer or anything, because that would just totally ruin my night." When she told me she wasn't an axe murder, with a smile... I used that opportunity to extend a veiled compliment. "It's very refreshing to talk to someone who has a good head on their shoulders and likes to keep it on their shoulders." Another BIG advantage to remaining totally sober on these outings, is that you are in a moral and legal position to truly rescue some lovely lady who has even had just a couple of drinks. I always warn any ladies against driving at ALL, even if they've only had 2-3 drinks. It also helps to provide me with both an air of responsibility, but also of respectibility... they feel safe with a sober man driving them home. LOOKING for some more REAL life... LESS CONTRIVED... and much less rehearsed "lines" as openers. I know you want to try and infuse humor, create a scene or dialogue that will continue after the "line" has been spoken... BUT.... I'm an older guy and some cutesy little kiddie lines don't quite fit me OR work on the more mature ladies. |

Sounds like you want to go situational. You can't pre-plan these. Its just whatever is going on in the environment at the moment. There's nothing wrong with doing a little planning before you go out. You would plan what you're going to say at a business presentation wouldn't you? So think of you're trying to present yourself in the best light. The main thing is to be congruent. If nothing else, just think up your own openers. |

your on a good track with not drinking when u go out me myself im 22 so i go out to have fun and drink abit, but what i have learnt is if you dink to muck your chances for picking up drop i still drink yoga bombs and jim and coke when i go out but i always make sure im not geting to drunk because i like to stay in control drinking is good because it makes you more of a sociable person, but to much drinking makes you look like a drunk and sex is not that good when your realy drunk anyway (believe me i know haha) |

here, you might fancy this one. its pretty good. modified-my-supermarket-opener-and-feil ... 48598.html he used it in supermarkets, too. im seeing that with a little tweaking, you can used it anywhere even somewhat out of the ordinary. |
