You come into a bar, see any hot babe and give her a look like you know her. Big smile and long "heyyyyy" She looks surprised (she does not know you obviously) And you go : "What you don't remember me, we had a blast at this bar like 3 months ago - was you that drunk? She says "no its my first time at this bar or whatever Then you go like "Well probably that was me who was too drunk that night, maybe it was another cute girl ......... ... ... Even if you have AA you should do it easily |

sounds a bit cheesey to me, plus your showing interest too early when you say 'cute'. as its comes in too early her bitch sheild is up and she knows your going to hit on her. plus you say you were drunk can be seen as a dlv Maybe it does work for you and fair enough if it does, but i would say your lowering your chances |

Cute is just s word I used here. In reality I don't use compliments early. So what you say its up to your style. Some guys don't mind giving small compliments some don't. Yes it works and it works 90% of the time (unless she just don't like you) As for drunk being DLV - its a first time I hear that. Everybody wants to have a blast once in a while and adnitting that you had a geat time and were drunk is absolutely no DLV. Plus when I say "ah well probably that was me who was drunk" I say it in a funny way[most girls undesrtand that], instead of saying "sorry I mistook you for another girl then" |

I think it can work but try to never joke about you getting hammered if it can be avoided, more often than not this is a DLV as brookes mentioned. You can recover from it but it's just making more hard work for yourself. I had a super hot blonde chick open me with something similar to this about a month or so ago, she came up and said "hey are you ashley?" i said no, she then said "did you go to X high school?" again I said no, she stood there for a few seconds more then left. Obviously I was a right fool to let her slip away, I was trying to make myself unattractive to a girl that was interested in me but I wasn't interested and because I had this frame of mind I just completely didn't realise this blonde was opening me lol. I think a way to improve this opener is to link it in with an opinion opener like "oh i thought you were *girls name*, hey would you ever date a guy with a mullet?" or whatever. Or when she knows you don't know her just play into that "oh damn don't you hate it when you get people mixed up haha, anyway my name's......" There's loads of variations on this you can pull, just try to keep the DLV's down and the DHV's up, for instance I'm in a band so I could do something like Me: "hey aren't you *name*?.......Oh right you look just like a girl that came to see me play at *venue well known for live music* the other day." Her: "Oh you're in a band?" Ok i've typed way too much now, man I ramble on allot. |

Well like I said its a big surprise that being drunk at the bar/club once in a while is DLV. If its DLV for you or in your culture then don't use it You can use something like "oh I must be bad at remembering peoples faces after a couple beers" - again said with a smile. Not that you mean that but just you say that. Or just simple "ah I mistook you for another girl I met here" - thats a DHV if you like Like I said - you can variate this approach depending on your personal style It works trust me |

On the second thought yeah it might be a dlv if you are an older dude (you should not be partying that hard and be more "serious" and mature). But if you are college age its not much of a dlv. By the way I notice that some guys concentrate too much on thinking. Like "this is dlv, I can say that" etc etc. Just be more natural, naturals don't try to impress, they know that no one is perfect and its not a shame to demonstrate some dlv if you are confident enough. And why I say that about me being drunk - its because if I just said "oh sorry I mistook you for other person" there won't be enough space for transition. You say that, she says "ok no problem" and convo is over. If you say that thing about you being drunk, she will ask something " so do you come here often" or "so do you drink much" etc etc - its a transition to MID game. And then you can say - nah I don't drink much, I was just kidding - actually I am not good at remembering faces. In this way you cut that DLV (which you think is dlv) It might not be too good if you carry yourself as a solid man, but its perfect for younger, outgoing guys Sorry for my English by the way |

Ok... Inner eye... I see you getting an Icy cold stare, an offended facial expression at the comment about the drunkness... But as always, it is not about the words you use but the way you perform... |

I think I could have phrased my post better. I am one of the younger generation as you put it (20th bday today) for me I've just found when I talk about drinking it usually goes bad rather than good. I don't usually like using the whole DLV/DHV terminology but I felt that was the best way to explain what I was talking about. I 100% agree that naturals don't think about trying to impress, once I'm past the opener that's what I'm like, but as far as the opener is concerned personally I like to try and make sure I get off to the best start I can. The whole drink thing isn't that bad, that isn't gonna get you blown out, it is definately more about your confidence and the way you carry yourself as we all know, it's a good opener we just have different opinions on how to use it lol. |

I'm new here but I know women and what they value. So if you were to say that you were drunk at your best friend's bachelor party celebration, orrr with some friends celebrating a graduation, orr rejoicing over some kind of business success, I think it would go over pretty well. It can also be seen as an opportunity to let them know a bit about yourself and your goals in this way. Plus, its a good lead-in to some small-talk - weddings/school/business/whatev. |
