| Post subject: | Library Openers? |
Recently, after visiting my college library for the first time in about a year, i realised that it is an untapped resource of HB's. Has anyone got any ideas of how I could open to HB's just sitting at computers? Thanks! |

I haven't FTed this one yet, but am really excited to try it soon: Read a book. If no HB's present themself, then you have enriched yourself intellectually for the day If you find a target, then simply ask her if she knows what it means or how to pronounce it. Enter stage left: Appropriate Routine. I love the possible negs for this opener. Negging bookworms for being too bookish and party girls for spending all that money on a college education and not being able to define your word. You get the idea. |

Ok, i am going to re-post a suggestion i made in another thread. For anyone who might think it's a good opener for this library environment: Just an idea, but maybe sit next to a set at the library or the target and state: " you look smart, you should do my homework!" if the target/set is warm and friendly and laugh, go with it..continue with the c&f if they/she objects " ahhh come on! I can pay you in the form of a neck massage! That's an unbelievable deal!". |

I am starting to brainstorm a few other plausible approaches. Say if you're set/target is gathered around a table at the library, they have a stack of books in front of them. Maybe just casually grab one of the books (that the set/target isn't reading!) and just start looking through the book. Act like you don't even need permission, like the book belongs to your bratty little sister! If the girls say anything, just tease them for not learning how to share when they were younger etc. or if they ask in particular "what are you doin?"Just look up, strong ec with the group with a playful sarcastic smirk " I'm reading? Quite a common activity to do when you're at the library!"..and then maybe go into introducing yourself and maybe negging the target by teasing about what type of book or course she is taking. |

@ Chainfire99: LOL. Two posts in a row that your advice seems highly doable. |
