Why must you call women "sets"? Come on, think about it. Women are PEOPLE. You are a person, i am a person, why should you use freakin TERMS for females? Would you call your mom and Her Friend a fuckin "2 set?" or would you like some creep afc calling YOUR mom "target" or a "set" This Mystery / Strauss shit is getting screwed up, its enough they have about a million guys confused as hell using their programs and getting stuck left and right...and not having hardly ANY success. AND their STILL MAKING FUCKIN PRODUCTS. Even David deangelo has Mystery explaining:: "in order to attract a woman, it takes roughly 7 hours, in which you must show that you are a leader, have high value, and a protector, attraction, comfort phase , seduction" complete Retardation.

And David Deangelo is just as bad for having him on almost all of his DVD'S. Im just trying to get my point across. Lets be more natural about this.[/b]

Not really sure why you're so angry over some lingo but . . .

What type of industry are you in? I am quite sure that no matter which type of industry you're in, you'll have to deal with some sort of lingo in order to BE MORE SPECIFIC while reducing CLUTTER and avoiding REDUNDANCY.

That's the point. Here are some examples:

Medical:
http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.h ... A9679C8B63

Marketing:
http://www.emergemarketing.com/publicat ... _lingo.htm

Many, many more but you get the idea.

And I would never call your mom a "target" unless you show us some pictures of her and she's no older than 50. OK, OK . . . I'm kidding. Uhm . . . is she 48?

Don't get angry over this its really not a big deal.I think all the drunk AFC'S out there not involved in pick-up refer to a group of women, lets say using worse terms.

I could say "I approached a group with 2 women and 1 man" or "I approached a mixed 3 set". It saves time and why say group instead of set it makes no difference.

Also as far disagreeing with things mpuas say, can I just ask how much time you have spent studying these things? There is a reason those guys are household names, actually commit, learn and practice their teachings and you will do a hell of a lot better than you would without them.

A so called "Set" can consist of both women and men and so be a so called mixed set. In that way you can also be inside a set. It really hasn't got anything to do with gender. You don't seem to like PUA jargon but like "kasabi" wrote above jargons are also used in medicine and marketing and you don't "hate" that. Do you?

I personally don't use any PUA lines, disqualifiers, FTCs, negs or C&F. The last two possibly when I playfully tease girls I like. I just be myself and girls seem to like me. I get 9s and 10s by just being myself. I have never understood why to use PU lines when you say what ever, hotties and models are not "bitchy" towards me so why use negs when they want to speek to you. Why use disqualifiers when you can get pretty much any girl and girls can see it the same way as guys can see that a 10 can get pretty much any guy she wants. I do myself speak for a REAL natural game so I agree with you that "lets be more natural about this".

Why are you so angry against Erik von Markovik and the cool "nerd" Neil Strauss? They have their own ways to attract and seduce women. I use some of their stuff and disagree completly with somethings in the Venusian arts like negs, FTCs or disqualifiers. In other words it doesn't mean that you have to follow them.

It's just jargon. In poker it's easier to say "the flop" rather than "the first 3 community cards which apply to everyone on the table".
Also it's handy when being "out in field" because for instance say you have allot of experience and you're trying to help a new guy get over his "AA", saying "Go approach that 2 set" sounds better to the other people standing around them (many of whom couldn't be future targets, oh sorry "people he would like to have sexual and emotional relations with over an undetermined amount of time") rather than saying to him "Go approach that group of girls over there" the reason that sounds worse is because it makes him appear socially inept because they now know his buddy is having to talk him into approaching girls.
I hear much worse things said by men around clubs and pubs, "bitches, slags/sluts, pussy" just to name a few.
Also as already stated saying "2 set" does not neccersarily mean 2 women. Set is used in the context of "a set of people", if I was talking to 2 random guys on a night out and I was to write about that whole night out the next day I would write "talking to a male 2 set".

At the end of the day dude, there are bigger things in the world to worry about than a few words which do no harm to anyone. I don't like having a go at people but your post just showed the same kind of prejudice that this community always gets, why do you think so many people in this community choose not to mention it to friends and family (not referring to myself there btw).

Mystery refers to any people as sets. If you watch the videos of some of his seminars he explains to the guys in the room that they are actually an 18 set or however many there are. The "target" is easier than saying "the girl I would like to attract". Picking out a girl you want is something all guys do, PUA or not. Where is your validation for saying that it is unsuccessful and furthermore that if in any single case it is unsuccessful then is it because the individuals failure to do it properly or because the system's failure?

Basically to sum up your post: "I'M ANGRY BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND I WOULD LIKE TO DEMONIZE THE COMMUNITY BECAUSE OF SEMANTICS."

Did you mum get picked up for real or something?

Calm yourself young grasshopper. A set is just a synonym in PUA for "one or more strangers". When you succeed in opening and hooking the set, they become friends or lovers. When you fail, they remain strangers and sets. Easy enough?
