Post subject:  Approaching a girl while walking the dog

I have a husky and hes a good looking dog so is great at attracting attention from other people!

There is a girl i really like that has a dog and i often walk past her on my evening walk.

I saw her tonight and my dog ran straight up to her, i said "good evening" and "watch out he can be overly friendly" she laughed and said "hes gorgeous etc" but that was it

i really couldnt think of anything else to say to her although i am sure thats very amateurish! wish i could of opened up a great conversation with her as she was really hot,

any ideas?

thanks

I'm not sure about approaching a girl, but here's what i did when one approached me. I was walking my dog down the street one day and this little yorkie came running up yipping at me and my dog, soon followed by a 7, appologizing and stuff.

Her: LUCY! no! get back here.
Me: it's okay...awe, she's so cute, love that little pink bow.
Her: (smile) she's cute too, what's her name?
Me: her? geez, do you assume every dog is a she? (smile) HIS name is Philip
Her: oh, sorry. hi Philip!
Me: they look good together, don't they?
Her: (smile) yeah, they do.
Me: so did you teach your dog to run up to strangers just so you can spark up conversations with them? (smile)
Her: (lauging) No, she just ran out when my roomate opened the door

talked about dog training, what she needs to do to keep the dog from running out the house anytime someone opens the door, blah blah blah....i already had a time constraint, being that we were in the middle of a walking...i eventually suggested we take them on a doggy date to the dog park and number closed.

just be friendly and confident! if she's a dog lover, half the work is already done, especially if you have a cute dog.
