Guys as we all know openers as well as alot of material are being burnt out... Like I said in the PUA Blacklist topic, its time to adapt! So lets get creative and start a new list of openers/materials, good or bad lets just get some ideas down! Sarge on |

Situaitonal openers never burn out. I use them 99% of the time. As long as you have just a littlle bit of creativity in you, you will need almost non of the canned stuff. |

I went out with Pitcher and we were messing around with openers and he goes up to a nice looking two-set with this... 'Excuse me girls, I need a female opinion on something, would you ever date a guy that shits his pants?" Everyone around him started cracking up and the girls took it in stride, but this is probably only a good one if you're in the mood to crash and burn or you have a sense of humor that can pull it off like he did. |

I'm not usually one to go off on a rant, but seriously guys and girls, can't you at least come up with something a little more original than "Can I get your opinion" or the hundreds of variations on that? If you're trying to be original, it doesn't matter what the hell comes after that, if a girl has been opened before, guaranteed that she's heard the "opinion" opener. |

yeah completely agree. in this scenario, it was only meant to add to the ridiculousness of the pick-up. canned and opinion openers are definitely useful only as training wheels or back-up plans. however a lot of people are succesful with them. |

Here is an original opener that i made up on the spot... Last night I was out with a mate and we saw a good looking 2 set. He told me we should go up and tell them that we used to be in a band together, blah blah. But i decided that that was boring. So i told him to follow my lead... We walked over... Me: 'you will never guess how we know each other!' I point to my friend. Girl: 'Go on, how?' Me: 'You must be the worst guesser ever!' I turned to her friend, 'Can you do any better?' 2nd Girl: 'You used to go to school together?' Me: 'No, I am his Nan!' 2nd Girl: Laughs Girl: 'That must make you at least 60!' Me: '83, but i dont look a day over 21, Oil of ulay works miracles!' We both went on to number close. Me with Girl 1 and my friend with girl 2. I have only been using this PUA stuff for a few weeks, but i it seems to me that it is not what you say, but how you say it. Also I was lucky that the girl i wanted gave me an opportunity to neg her as well. |
