PUA: Can I help you find something? HB: Do you work here? PUA: No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night. (Best said with a totally straight face.) HB: (laughs) PUA: You looked lost (neg issued)...I thought I should help...it's the boy-scout thing to do, isn't it? HB: Sure Continue the conversation from there... Gruuve |

Yes, I've used it in the field once. Didn't get a number close, but it did open her with a laugh. "No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night" comes from the commercial...a guy shows up in some expert role somewhere and begins work...someone questions "are you a doctor/lawyer/etc.?", and he says "No, but I did stay in a...". If you've seen the commercial, it's pretty comical. Gruuve |

Probably not a good line to use. It is if you have actually SEEN the commercial. But, unless it is a super popular commercial or she watches TV all day she might not pick up on the joke. Just a thought... |

I thought everyone has seen that commercial. I knew what you were talking about it and I could see people being responsive to that. |

I liked the line it does make sense. I can see the other side of it that nobody would get it if they haven't seen it. I know some chicks who are kinda out of it in the head that they wouldn't understand that. |

Ya, its pretty hit and miss; even the commercials, only some are actually funny. I would just cut to the "you look lost" opener: HB: No.. haha... blabla PUA: "what's your mom look like, I'll help you find her." PUA: "oh I'm sorry.. I bet you always look like that... I feel bad now." etc. |
