I've been wondering about this equation for a while.

Suppose that you're going trough a place that doesn't allow for a decent conversation (eg a busy street, or a train station) and you see this exceptionally hot HB10 that seems to be in a hurry somewhere. A full lenght conversation doesn't seem feasible, but she really caught your eye and you don't want to let the chance go.

How will you proceed in order to get her number or at least give her yours so she will call you back?

okay lets see, so you mean to tell me that a woman that looks like she has to get somewhere fast is just going to magically stop for you (Someone she has no idea who you are or what you want) and then get her to talk to you? our society doesnt care much about these instances and if an actual event doesnt occur for you to talk to her, or you dont have a good reason to talk to her yourself... you just regretfully have to let her pass by, otherwise things will turn out ugly and you wish that you never saw her in the first place. just my opinion. but go ahead and talk to her... just how would you feel if some guy was trying to stop you from getting to somewhere you really want to go?

long shot, but it may take her off guard.

Look at the ground, and try really hard to find something. As she walks by ask her if she can help you look for your contact lens, if she agrees great, if she's busy then it wasn't meant to be that day. Of course she'll never find the contact lens but after a few moments of looking tell her that your visiting your brother and have no idea where anything is. maybe you could pull out a map have her show you where you are(your having a hard time seeing  ). play your cards right and it could turn in to something.

yeah im trying to figure this out to i am thinking of just saying hey i am in a real hurry and dont have time for small talk so I just was wondering if i could grab your number and we could continue this conversation later (as if it has been this massive convo) you might even want to walk past her and in like a cf kind of way spin round woah stop! hey in real hurry but etc etc. any thoughts help out

What I do in similar situations is to use an "OMG" opener and stop her in her tracks.

The trick is to almost walk by her without making eye contact and then at the last second gently touch her elbow, (extremely important to touch the elbow, not above or below, and only for a second at the same time you say...) "OMG!!! You look exactly like my old room mate, *name*. Or "OMG....you are gorgeous! Lets go and get a coffee (she will probably say no etc...) ok, give me your number, I will have time at lunch some point during the week."

Always be confident and direct in this type of opener. Its risky but if you sound confident and honest your rewards will be great.

PS: The elbow trick is one I learned from a mate who is into NLP, the physical contact catches the person off guard and makes the more receptive to what you have to say.

This is def possible to do. If you are strong in your frame as well, she should be flattered. If shes running after a bus, I would say no. If she has an icee and is walking her dog, then yes. Use your head. Throw in a false time constraint immediately to put her at ease.

Keep in mind too, if its only a two minute interaction you gotta display high value, otherwise it will be a weak number if you get one at all. It can be done tho, and if nothing else it builds confidence, which is always good.

This just came up for me this morning on the subway to work. I was reading a book and looked up to notice that a fairly cute, nicely-dressed girl was glancing over and checking me out from across the aisle in the train. We made eye contact and I smiled. She reciprocated, so I scooted over one seat and said hey. I introduced myself and shook her hand, and then said in English: "We don't have a lot of time because I'm getting off in two stops, but I like your style. Here's my card (I use a business card for a bookmark, so it's always handy), so it would be cool to talk some time and maybe get to know each other." She smiled, took the card, and told me she would call. Confident, assertive body language and communication is important to convey that you expect a call and that you're worth calling.

Is there a good chance she'll never call? Definitely. But when you have a TRUE time constraint where you don't have time like the OP is suggesting, unless you know Jedi mind tricks or something, there's really not a whole lot more you can do in 2 minutes. There's a good chance that you'll never see her again otherwise, so I still think it's better than doing nothing - life's too short for that...
