This is an opener which I've used when in a shopping or similar setting.

"Excuse me, I've only a second, but do you know what to get a woman for a baby shower? I'm going to a baby shower tommorow and I've no idea what to get her."

Responses have been various, but all positive and great way to go into your favorite routine. It has opened 100% of the time. And 50% of time the HBs actually walk around with me and show what is good. I like to transition into a cold routine simply because im still trying to master it. Anyone have an idea for a good cold reading material or pointers to add on after this opened.
Try it out and feel free to create different variations, but dont forget to give me credit for creating it.

Only problem with that is they'll get really focused on asking you dumb questions about the shower, like if it's a boy or girl, and what are they looking for, etc...All the while you are trying to shift into the rest of your routine which has nothing to do with baby showers or looking for gifts. Then the more you force it, the more obvious it will be that this was all just a ruse to flirt/pick up on her, and then she'll start to put up a shield.

I'm not saying it can't work, because it's a good way to cold approach and get the woman engaged in conversation. But you need a good routine that can subtly be escalated into building attraction without being too obvious.

This opener sounds to me guaranteed to get the woman talking to you and even going around helping you as you said. But the question is what light does it portray you in? How do you transition from this to anything with sexual tension? The basic idea of asking her for thoughts on something like this is good. But incorporating babies isn't necessary. Even asking for a gift for a woman getting married would be better than something about a baby.

Not saying it can't work. With the right woman she might find it adorable and really be turned on by guys who are kind of sweet and fatherly. But it could backfire.

What I would do to try to make some attraction after is, she goes and shows me what to buy or tells me what to buy is tease her a bit on her selection, use PROPER NEGS, and some cocky funny. For example if she shows me something cheap, I would tease her on being cheap. Don't take it too far tho. Remember to use proper Kino to.
