Hey All,

I've been really busy with school work lately and haven't had a chance to post...3 labs in 1 semester = holy shit man.

Anyway i was sitting at the college eating lunch today and thinking about different openers i could use on the girls around me. I haven't field tested this yet. I'd like to get some suggestions and opinons on this first:

Sit down at table look directly through the set (2 or 3 set probably best). Do this for about 20 or 30 seconds, looking around as if you're annoyed and struggling. This will put you in the frame to actually deliver what you're doing.

Approach the set and say to them. "excuse me, I'm sitting over there and I'm trying to look at that spot on the wall and you guys are really in the way." (say this in a serious way, but with a half smile so the set knows they're being hit on a little).

I imagine the response would be a laugh, or a "why don't you move then??". If the latter question is asked neg, "Well I was sitting there first, so it's kinda your bad." (even if you weren't)

Then say something like "tell you what, I'm gonna be a nice guy and let you move over to where I'm sitting. Just don't sit directly in front of me okay?"

Hmm... when I pictured this in my head it seemed way more smooth. This could definately be refined. Add suggestions and let me know what you all think.

I'm sorry, but I would never do that one. It sounds like a failure to me.

Instead I would just do the non-situational opinion opener!

Pusha. I'm not your homie, and at this point I don't value your opinion. When you say something think about it. If it's inherently offensive the disclaimer no offense really doesn't make a lot of sense does it?

We have this community here to help each other out. It is not designed for the type of comments you've made. You've put little on the table to be learned from other than an example of how not to respond.

Regarding the opener - Thank you to the rest of you for your opinions. I agree that it is too contrived.

if u dont value my opinion then dont post an open thread and ask for ppl's opinion... PM watever ppl on here whos opinion u do value and ask them... u should still value wat i have to say because im trying to help u... yur opener is weak and i let u know it before u made yourself look stupid... had you came up w/ a clever and useful opener i would gladly have given u props

lets not get our feelings hurt, u put yourself out there and i was merely doin wat you asked... i didnt make any personal attacks or anything, i jus commented on what was proposed... we're both from CA so if anything maybe we could go sarging sometime and i could offer u some tips and vice versa, no need for beef

Well, actually if you read above i asked for suggestions. The point of this forum is to learn. "Weak as fuck and stupid" aren't very useful learning tools are they?

Regardless, if you're new here come in with humility and realize there's a culture in this forum. It's not about props and bashes. You're new so I'll give you a break. I think you'll find that that this can be a really great place.

lets not turn this into sumthing else though... ill concede that yur rite, i coulda let u kno that yur opener needed to be canned in a more appropriate and polite manner... and im well aware of this culture, i may be new to the forum but not to the game, so excuse my rudeness i realize i came off too crass

I'm not being funny here or anything but I think this is the first time I have ever seen an apology like this on any forum ever. Usually people are too stubborn to apologise on forums and I think that post right there shows a big difference in people who are "in game" and those not.
Granted there has been a bit of a back and forth in the thread but ultimately it got resolved without resorting to "your momma" jokes.

On the topic of the opener I'd have to agree with the other guys. I'd say it seems a little TOO obvious for my liking, somewhere between direct and indirect which just isn't quite....right, if that's the way to describe it.

Yeah, this forum really is unique and has tons of potential. Just last week AFCAdam had a really informative webinar on SPAM. Stuff like this is rare on other forums.

As for the above mentioned routine I don't think I'll be trying it. Since AFCAdam's webinar i've been trying a completely different approach. His thesis (in my interpretation anyway) was that game isn't complicated. All I've been doing lately is being friendly without being needy. He had 3 principles he emphasized (all of which must be followed):

Confidence
Abundance of Women
Sexual Escalation


Mix that with a bit of Cocky funny and negs ONLY when appropriate and just be yourself. I opened 3 different targets this week all HB 7+s, and an an HB10 today. Instead of trying to close them on the spot i establish rapport with all of them and only focus on each selectively. That way they have to compete for attention and all I gotta do is be fun. That's not so complicated. I'm hoping to lose the idea of canned routines and just practice opening until it becomes a dynamic fluid thing instead of a calculated structured routine. Like I've read in some other posts college game is a little bit different because of tight social spheres and the abundance of young people all looking for a good time.

To be honest, I think just approaching a table saying, "Hi, I am Fabie, I am new here, do you mind if I sit with you guys?" Would do better, it is honest, you are just looking for friends and typically people will be nice to you. I think captains opener is looking for confrontation, if you are facing a alpha female, she will now have every reason to piss you off. And getting them to sit at your table will never work, its a burden, and during opening you begin with lower value.

Maybe instead of the wall say the TV? or, start a discussion about what is on TV. Then you could transfer into the major opener. So on.

I might give this a try today, but I don't want enemies on campus after the first day! :P
