I spend a lot of time in a local coffee shop on my laptop because I do not have internet access at home. I am relatively new to the game. I also enjoy the SPAM because I see a lot of beautiful girls in there, but I usually draw a blank on how to start a conversation with someone who is waiting on their order while I am already seated nearby working on my computer. Any suggestions for good openers or questions would be much appreciated.

Make eye contact. Smile. And say hi. That's where you start.

You all make this opening shit seem like it's advanced college trigonometry.

One of my favourite ways to start a conversation with a girl when I'm in a seated position in a coffee shop
is to literally call her over, and ask her what she's having.

You: "Hey, you, yes you...come here. I'm serious, come here. What are you having today? I just saw you, thought
you're cute and this is the best I could think off...pretty clever huh :)"

And you start a conversation with her.

In any situation, there are basically 3 ways of starting a conversation with any woman.

They are:

1) Say Hi

2) Make a COMMENT

3) Ask a QUESTION

When you're in these kind of situations, you can run the script with these 3 ways, and ask yourself if you can say
Hi, make some sort of a COMMENT or ask a QUESTION.

Probably the best time to start a conversation with girls in the coffee shop is if they sit next to you or
near you.

You can observe something about them, like the size of their coffee cup, and then run through these 3 ways:

COMMENT: "I think that is the biggest coffee cup I've seen in a week. You must be really tired..."

QUESTION: "Long day? Because I've noticed your huge cup of coffee."

Or simply say Hi: "Hey, how's it going?"

Make sense?

Always remember this...

30 seconds of awkwardness can open up a lifetime of pleasure.

Seriously if you like the look of her just swallow it for 30 seconds and introduce yourself and invite her to your table.

Sure you can reherse a load of BS lines that make thinitoally 30 seconds not so awkward but the reality is reality is you just got to go for it and get her talking... that's it!

30 seconds is a small amount of time and the more you do it the easy it becomes.

Why not go to a different coffee bar with the aim of getting rejected several times to eliminate the fear. ? Break the fear so you can rinse and repeat without breaking a sweat

First I like the idea of asking what she's ordered, getting an opinion on what to order (Then ordering something else).

Just don't say anything she hasn't already heard before. Unless it's something that turned her into a wild sex demon, then say that. Okay so that's a tall order. Just say Hi, that already separates you from 90% of the guys in the shop. Then you have to say something interesting. The cool thing is that you can think this up ahead of time. No I mean like poetry days ahead of time. Then... that's what the rest of the forum is for.

You can ask if she goes to the local university. You can make a comment about the whether... It doesn't matter the opening is just that an opening to a conversation.

The different "styles" of opening come into play vs the sort of conversation you have. A direct intense approach is considered socially awkward in this sort of situation.

Say something about the coffee shop if you like. Situational openers are fluid openings. You can even sit here and come up with several things to say in regards to topics related to the situation.

Local colleges because many students end up in coffee shops.
The actual shop. - if it's crowded, if the coffee is good, what's good to eat there, etc
A specific person in the shop. Cracking jokes about people in a light hearted fun way works.
The whether outside.
Something you saw in the news that morning...

Very good info and ideas. My best success so far is commenting on someone's unique coffee cup that they bring in. There was a lady that had one shaped like a unicorn the other day. As she was about to sit down at the table beside me, I said that I had never imagined a unicorn coffee cup before and she smiled, then started telling me about it. Nothing impressive but a friendly conversation began where I found out she is actually one of the artists that has paintings on the wall in that shop.

Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone successfully done it while she's sitting and you're up? Haven't done daygame in a while and planning my 1st sarge tomorrow in 3 years. My comfort zone was subway approaches (easy to rapid fire and the excuse is easy). One of the things I could never master was coffee shops. Being on line is easy, but most times you'll start off in a moderately busy coffee shop on a weekend with tables that have empty seat.

There's always the girl who looks perfect doing something on her computer. But every time I've done a approach on these girls, it's super cold. Holding her attention is super hard since she's on her computer.

The obvious reason would be is that her mindset is in a gtfo mode.

Was wondering if anyone had a really good ice breaker or magic bullet for moments where girls are focused?
