I somewhat agree with the above post, but here's my take on the OP: Bullshitting once a month isn't going to get you anywhere. At all. You need to pull the trigger, and take some meaningful action. Here's how I think a better conversation would go :

X: Was just thinking, it's been forever since we've hung out! Let me buy you a coffee [beer, smoothie, matzah ball if she's Jewish] and we can catch up... Does Thursday or Friday work better for you?

I'm definitely no expert, but I don't think you're going to get anywhere if you keep dodging the obvious.

They hardly even know each other. He has built zero attraction and she's replying with what amounts to 1 word answers.

Asking her out at this point is going to get him a shitty result.

Be exciting, build some attraction.

You make yourself appear to be a guy she'd want to date.

You need to be interesting, fun and mysterious.

Good looking doesn't hurt either.

From what I can see here, this is nothing more than platonic. I doubt she even knows you're interested in her... And if she's at all good looking, she probably has 10 other guys texting her every day - all trying to do what you are doing...

Aim to have better conversation with her than they are having. Stand out.
