So I went out last night and there were a ton of people out for Halloween.

I noticed for the first time really that I was experiencing a lot of haterism. I think it was because I was in a really loose, fun group, and we were dancing and having fun, so the average, wallflower AFC type would see this and start hating.

So the few times I actually experienced direct haterism, it would be when I approach a girl and notice attraction building, a guy in their group (their boyfriend for all I know) would either give me dirty looks or make some comment. Keep in mind, I'm not saying any out of hand stuff in these interactions. Just 'Hey, I like your costume. My name is naj500, who are you?' Just conversational stuff like that. Its the eye contact and body language that makes the intentions obvious I suppose, but still.

Once I approached a girl who had gotten ahead of her friends, and we started talking, eyes locked and all that. When her friends caught up, the girl was like 'this is my friend' and grabbed her by the arm and started pulling. I think I said something like 'congratulations'. Then the dude she was with was all like 'keep it moving'. The girl I was talking to was looking confused and said 'bye!' as her friend pulled her away. I had actually really only stopped the girl to ask directions.

Of course, I don't pay attention to any of this in the moment, and don't let it ruin my vibe at all. But the problem is that I'm finding people I'm attracted to that I don't want to be around because I don't want to deal with the negativity that comes with their associations. So I guess my question is, have you guys found a way to circumvent the haterism?

Before you say, 'make friends with the dudes first', obviously. Always do that anyway. Any help would be appreciated.
