Hi, what would you guys recommend for when you are out in a nightclub on the dancefloor and see girls you haven't met up with for a couple of years (they recognise you as well). Would the best thing here to be to:

1. say "lets get a drink" straight away
2. to try and dance with them

I think 1 sounds too desperate or you may end up buying all of their drinks. 2 could also come across as being a bit too forward too soon.

Any thoughts ?

From what I learned in my personal experience women tend to gravitate to the guy on the dance floor who is actually dancing and not trying grind on them or is standing around watching. This doubles as a filter since the women who start to gravitate to where your dancing are usually the ones interested in you. This is something the can be fine tuned over time but since I haven't been in a nightclub since i lived in japan i haven't had the chance to iron out all the kinks.

Woa slow down there champ. Just go up and say hi first. "Ello, longtime no see, youre still beautiful, blah blah" depending on how she is acting then you decide wat the next step will be, if she seems attentive, excited and reciprocates your flirting then dance with her and escalate, of she seems too consciois about her friends, try to isolate her if not just say "lets grab a drink later;)" then reapproach. Theres many things you can do, but go in first and test the waters. Just connect with her and catch up. See where her mind is at and work your charm. Simple. Good luck !

i wouldnt do either of those-
start with an opener such as observing something around you or asking an opinion on something with an open ended question
