Well, after having dogged it for a while, I set a goal for myself to open ten girls, and did; only opened 'em, and then ejected very quickly. I'd started out indirect opening, then gone direct, and now, I'd gone back to indirect, mainly because I wasn't trying to # close, and thought myself going through the motions. But you know what? Today yielded the smoothest interactions, yet! Using primarily the beard question (I have one, so it's natural) I garnered some markedly friendly responses. Without expecting anything, I got good reactions, and without a lot of pressure on myself, I didn't come across as awkward, as before. I also used an observational opener to good effect. I saw a guy and girl on skateboards, and moseyed on over to talk, asking them. The girl was clearly interested in me, and I should have say down next to her, but I bailed. Still, I felt like I'd reached a new level of opening smoothness. Now, when possible, I to do a direct opener, and now I'm also fairly good at stopping moving targets, even if I still am scared. I'm more relaxed opening, I see, and that makes a world of difference. I'd been doing that beard opener months ago, back when I was much more afraid, and now it's lessened, it works a whole lot better. Tyler Durden said that learning, he'd often need to go back over what he already learned, when he did, he found out how to improve that aspect revisited, and then move on to fixing the next weak link in the chain. Me, I've managed four #s, and have been workking onatraction, qualification, and comfort, whilst summoning the courage to kino, but focusing on opening?Seems to be a whole lot easier than I've been making it. But for now, I think I'll keep on going indirect for a while, and then return to direct. Dunno if it'll improve my direct game like my indirect one, but at least I've kept improving, if slowly. |

Just do whatever works best for you and whatever seems more natural to you. As long as it isn't canned material |

Well, I'm working towards figuring out just what that is; I'm reviewing my encounters. |
