I work at a financial firm and we have government auditors in this week and next week. Of the team of auditors, one of which is a fine sexy-looking chick. I have caught her staring in my direction when I am outside with my colleagues in the work-area while she is walking to the bathroom. Each time, she just bids her head down and smiles.

The problem is: she is with two other colleagues(I am pretty sure both of them are higher up on the totem pole) and the three sit in the office adjacent to mine. I have no reason to go into theirs as they have no reason to come into mine or speak with my colleagues.

I would love to open her somehow but it's a professional workplace for both of us so how can I work about this? They have been coming to work earlier than I and leaving later soooo... yeah, is it a lost cause?

Anything I can say to break the ice or I can use to engage that team?

Any tips would be great.

I keep work and flirting very separate. Most girls are cool about it, but it only takes one uncalibrated statement to get you fired for sexual harassment... I wouldn't play with that fire... Good luck.

I agree, playing with fire dude. I would pass but if you have to go ahead and be super non-threatening and talk with the whole group. Honestly though I just don't see it working out well in any case.

I don't think it's playing with fire in this situation.

The only way you could fuck yourself over is if you start touching her inappropriately(Don't use kino, too risky here save for a handshake or kiss on the cheek in greeting/whatever is normal in your culture) and say stupid, totally inappropriate things to her during working hours.

If you interact with her keep it direct, keep it civil and be mature about it. Don't talk about sex, start touching her sides, arms and shit that you normally would do while applying kino. That's sure to get you into some trouble in the work place. Otherwise just be honest and straight up. Say you noticed her around and wanted to ask her out for a drink/lunch.

As for approach and spiking interest next time you catch her checking you out return the interest. Lock eyes with her and let her break contact. Be confident, don't look down and be cool about it. It will drive her nuts. Then next time you're near her or passing by one another and in proximity to exchange a "hello" just ask her how she's getting on with her work. It's that simple. She'll stop, say it's okay or whatever, then you just talk about anything with her like why she's there, what her work is like and then link it to her hobbies("Statistics? I would have pegged you down as a wake-boarder" -- Whatever, something different and physically active). Conversation shouldn't last long. Just keep it simple in order to open communication then before you leave just ask her out. "You're interested, how about I take you out for lunch?"

I have gotten through the introduction part with her as the compliance head in my company introduced her to my team on Monday(right now, it is Wed night).

I am thinking how to have a way to talk to her without setting off an alarm. I was thinking, should I ever get to talk to her, I would say something about what is next for her after my company and see what I can use with that. Since she is an auditor, I am guessing I can tease that she must be good in accounting and help me out in my self-study. Maybe in there, slip a "fluff line", asking whether she changed her hair and regardless, I will slip a you look adorable and go on with the convo.

What would be a good reason to get her contact's? What differences may there be when she is alone and when she is with someone(I will have to get all their contact's??)?

You are overthinking this way too much dude.

Let her know you're interested in taking her out! What have you got to lose? Once she leaves that's it for ever, she won't be coming back so you have to make a move on her.

Don't scrutinize over everything you do, that's for chumps. Just act normal and express an interest in her. You've already said she's shown interest in you so just act on it and go for it.

I would have a funny story about something in or that happened in the office. I would then go up and introduce myself to the group and find a way to lead in the story. Build rapport with the group and then focus on the girl. Say "Actually I have something I want to show you" to the girl (make it seem relevant to to what you just talked about with her), take her away from the others then ask her out.

I'm by all means an AFC though, but that to me seems like the play here.

Heres a sample conversation I've written for you.

You: Hey "Girls Name"
Her: Hey
You: I see you've stolen my paper clips... these are very valuable paper clips... i'm gonna have to sue you
Her: Lol
You: How's it going anyway, solving big cases?
Her: Blah blah blah
You: I see that you're working hard, tell you what... lets go for a power lunch and talk about how much we hate (Bosses name)
Her: Lol okay

Take her out, feed her a drink and make out with her and try to finger her under the table if possible.

Then after work, go home with her.


Its a bit aggressive but after being cooped up in the office all day I'm sure she wants it bad.

I would just drop in there and make random smalltalk about something with the group "you guys see that X outside this morning?" Or whatever. Get them (her) used to you. Surely the girl has to be walking by your office from time to time throughout the day. "Hey come here for a sec." Ask her if she knows about some app or computer program or whatever. Have her sit down. See how things go. The next day, isolate again "hey I'm going down to X for lunch, tag along." At least you gave it a shot and won't regret it the rest of your life. Agreed with the earlier comments about treading on thin ice as this is a work scenario but this could be one way to approach it in a tame manner.
