| Post subject: | whats a question to ask random strangers for aa? |
hey guys been going solo forever and recently started using the forums again so i thought i'd take advantage of some sweet sweet opinions. It seems like i can't approach consitently so i'm going back to square one and approaching strangers first (say 3) then i'm going to do 3 sets, then im going to go to a area where i'm at full steam. But what do i ask the strangers? I tried this a few days ago and i used "hey do you have the time", in which 2 ppl said "no" or were kinda rude and another old guy gave it to me and walked away. I'm kinda paranoid that this is an outdated question to ask as everyone has the time and the time is all over (malls) anyone got any nutrual questions to ask total strangers? (besides asking "excuse me sir, do your pants fit comfortably") |

I can't imagine anyone being rude when someone asks for the time. I get asked that still. Have had to ask for the time before also, like when i left my cell in my car. Do you know why you have AA? Because you know that you are just about to do something weird and creepy! And if you are, you should think again. DON'T approach in that case! Here are two different situations, and ways to handle them. Note that time is a key factor here. If people are walking, heading somewhere, running errands and such, means that you have almost no time at all to ask your question, or to say your heart's meaning. This means that you have to be extremely direct, taking the risk of being rejected. If you are that desperate to meet someone, then I can only recommend you do bang your head against the wall and approach, approach, approach, no matter how much it hurts. There is no point in asking for time. You can as well go straight to your main question and ask a girl if she wants to date you, and be prepared for the "no" (but there will be a "yes" after a couple of tries). If people are standing still, watching a show or something, or just relaxing, you have much more time (this applies to club environments too). Start a conversation by using a situational opener. Just be careful and don't walk up to someone and start talking, since that makes it too obvious what you want. Make it look as if you are just talking to whoever happens to be around. After some initial phrases you can start asking more personal questions, and the game is on. |
