| Post subject: | In a room full of people who know eachother, but you don't? |
How do you start a conversation with someone when you go to a new type of group meet up and everyone knows each other? They say anyone can join but whenever I don't know anybody I feel like I'm a burden so I stay out of the way and don't talk to anybody. What would you do if you walked in to a room full of strangers chatting it up and you don't know anybody? How do I get over that mindset? |

By facing your fear ... simply introduce yourself. Make an objective opinion on anything in the room, and stick to it.

When I was a teenager I was really into martial arts and my teacher gave me an important advice: When you have to fight a group: Search for the strongest one (leader) and beat him. Because when all the other group members see that you have beaten their leader, you wont have to fight them as well. You will receive the respect and they will fear you. I think you can also work like this on approaching groups: Search yourself the alpha male (the leader) and befriend him. As many others will come by to seek alpha males validation, you really benefit if they think you are a buddy of him. You will get in his "league" and the other betas in the room will see you with a higher value. Cheers sky lets-go-skyrocket-vt174976.html |
