Post subject:  Is this a universal opener?
I was just thinking about the sentence ''Hello, I saw you (walking/standing/sitting) from over there (point in any direction) and I just had to come and say hi. Whats you're name?''

Can this be used in almost any setting? If I think about it, it can be used in daygame like the mall, public transport, college and in nightgame as well. Am I correct? And what are the downsides of this opener?

Lately I have found its not the opener itself. Its the power and confidence

in the subtext that was said IN THE OPENER. So in essence the factor is YOU!

it's universal yes but it's not high percentage effective unless you are a lot better looking than she is

Sure, why not? What you say isn't that important but I would add something to this direct style though...

Say something like "I realize that this is a bit out of the norm, but you look cute and I would like to ask you out sometime".

You are coming on really strong and direct at a moment, she is not expecting it so I think it is a good idea to let her know that you realize it isn't 'normal' what you do.

if you admit to her that you are a little nervous might make her a little more at ease with you.

But hey, that is just my style! Experiment and find out what works for you, that is the only real way to ever know :)
