Can you guys give me feedback on this opener... Lets say I heard the girl's name in a club, the one I am attracted to, because her friend was calling her and I go up to her and ask her "If I guess your name, would you let me buy you a drink (or instead of a drink do something else idk)"? Do you guys think that will work? Or do you have any better ideas? |

Make it the other way around, you guess her name right and then she has to dance with you or buy you the drink. |

Never, but never buy a girl something to drink !!!! If you do this she will see you as a sucker and you don't want that. So you should say: Hei, if i guess your name, you buy me a drink, else i buy you something to drink ? |

I don't like it, sorry man! You are trying too hard and it is obvious. it sounds a little cheesy to me  "Hi, I'm Andreas. What is your name?" Just open, introduce yourself! There is no need to make the opener too interesting anyway. if you are an interesting and confident guy, it doesn't matter. - Andreas |

indeed! if you did something well (guessing name), why would you reward the other??? There is no sense in this.
And of course she knows that you overheard her friend. That means you have been eavesdropping for a while, and needed time to put yourself together and open her. A girl knows this. One of the main PUA principle is never buy girls drinks!!!! |

No matter how many times I have told my mates this, they just don't get it. One of them in particular will open by making normal chit-chat and then immediately offer to buy them a drink, or a round of drinks if a 2/3 set. Don't get me wrong, there's times where he's closed; but I've witnessed plenty of occasions where they rapidly lose interest. |

Don't ever buy drinks for girls. The only thing this communicates is: "I am not wort to talk to you without paying for your time." Never ever do it. If you are attracted to a girl in a club the only thing you should really do, even if thousands of people try to tell you a whole bunch of pick up lines, is to introduce yourself with an honest compliment. |

Keep in mind you're the prize. If you guess her name right, she can buy you a drink and she can get to know you. Something like that. Maybe you're going at this a bit backwards? Then again the chance of you overhearing a name of a girl, that you find attractive, in a club? I'm from Europe, so maybe clubs are different here, but the music is still pretty damn loud. So that's hard. Just don't use openers all together. See the girl, want the girl, approach the girl, convo ensues. Just do that a lot and if it didn't work already it will soon enough. |
