Post subject:  Opening with a Neg?

I was wondering if anyone here ever opens with a neg? I have done this a few times before with decent success (not consciously used for game though...I've been doing this for a while just meeting people)...It's almost like the "I like your hair...but is it real?" line. The other day a girl just happened to walk into the group of people I was speaking with (super crowded bar so it wasn't surpising) and I just held up my hand in her face and said "You're not welcome here." Her jaw just DROPPED! I didn't "throw and go" like you are supposed to. Instead I just gave her a hug and said "I'm kidding, I only fuck with people I care about!" and she immediately started showing IOI's. (The rest of the interaction consisted of her asking if I was gay and I countered this hoop with "Are YOU gay?" "Because you are kind of giving off that lesbian vibe." DDBL=Doggy Dinner Bowl Look!!!)

I digress...This is also a kind of shit test thing I do and I will straight up tell people that "I fuck with people just to see if they fuck back" because I don't like individuals (women) with low self esteem. I think it shows that I also don't put up with bullshit and that I can throw it back in their face if they start showing some. Keep in mind that I'm not an asshole... I am just a hell of a neg thrower and I do it in a really joking fashion and it's obvious that I am laughing about it...but they don't always pick up on the humor.

I do realize that calibration is important here and even an HB10 can have the self image of an HB6 so I sometimes have to cover with "You are so cute when you get all huffy!" and have to apologize sometimes because girls get genuinely offended. The "My parents never said the actual phrase "I Love You" and we just teased each other to show affection." line has come in handy more than once. (In all honesty this "line" is actually a truth in my life hehe!)

To me, roasting is an artform and I think that it can be more beneficiary in the field than most people think. I don't know whether to look at this as a negative character trait or not, I've just always done it. Of course then again maybe I AM just an asshole...Any thoughts on if I should tone it down or just hone it into more of a routine than an attitude? Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I have considered opening with a neg, however, I think that it might definitely be worth looking into if you use low key negs.

I was recently went to my local video store and as I was preparing to check out, i noticed the clerks were gone so I panned around and they were just to the left of me, I overheard them speaking about her having to pee and the other one being needed at the cash register. I remarked " I don' mean to be rude. I know you have to pee and all but I was wondering If I could check out?" I had a big smile on my face and Received several iois and big smiles on the other end as well.

After the check out, where I received more IOIs and then, about 10 minutes on my way home my MPB lifted and I realized the I had missed the opportinity.

Now I am new to this but it would seem to me that negs work so long as they feel more like it's just a playful challenge than an insult. Especially when used as an opener.

It seems like negs are the perfect way to go for your personality.lol.

That is a good insight whoknows. Yeah I think it would be better to make them more playful instead of having to cover after I hit a wrong nerve!

Everyone else should still weigh in...I want to know if this works, or is a detriment to their game. I am decently good looking so I sometimes wonder if I'm coming across too cocky. I don't consider this a C&F interaction, more of a Neg & Funny interaction (N&F)
