I live in a big apartment with other people. We live in separate/different rooms. It is not a problem for me to talk to male SPAM and befriend them. But it is difficult to talk to female SPAM. Basically they are quite cautious and defensive, they are not open to talk or chat. We sometimes briefly stumble upon each other, but we don't talk to each other. I tried a couple times, they just acted coldly. What's your idea? |

Here are some ideas... do you have a living room or an entertainment room where the roommates socialise, watch TV drink coffee, whatever? That would be a good place to start... If not, you could organise a party and invite the roommates (girls and guys) thus becoming the alpha male and "connector" of this environment where you live... |

They are responding in this fashion towards you because that is the behavior you are exhibiting to them. It's uncomfortable for you = it's uncomfortable for them. Next time, "pretend" they are one of your male buddies and get in to a very familiar-type of convo just like you would with one of them. Gotta start somewhere and this can be a good place to start. |
