^ this is how the frame can be changed, it is what the meaning is behind what is going on, a neg can more or less be thought of as negative compliment, but the main idea is to dis-qualify you or her as not romantically involved through the frame
so for example
if you tell a girl, hey your hot, we gotta talk so that I can find someone to hook up with at the end of the night, and she starts talking with you, passively she has accepted the frame that you two are speaking together in order to hook up at the end of the night
more examples of negs, maybe you can see now how this plays into the frame of a qualifier that disqualifies you as hitting on her
''wow I love your shoes (you qualify her), they look comfortable'' (disqualify the statement so that the frame reflects you are not interested in her romantically)
