Post subject:  Best response to "Whats new?"

Hi

I'm considering this girl as a possible candidate for being my next girl friend. She works at a saloon and cuts my hair. She always asks me this question "Whats new?". I over think it and I'm not sure what to respond. I have not asked her for her number yet over my fear of rejection, especially since there are other hot women cutting hair less than 3 feet away from me on either side.

Being rejected by her alone is embarrassing enough, but being rejected in front of other women is far worse. That's why I have a lot of fear.

What is the best answer when a girl asks you that? What will make me attractive?

Its a very simple question, right? Why do I get so nervous and unable to think straight when I'm talking to her? I want to get over my nervousness ASAP.

Nothing new just regular guy things, I spent all night dreaming about you and all day cutting petals of a flower saying "she loves me, she loves me not" :P

That wasn't especially helpful.

The fact that you're worrying about how to answer HER question shows that you're not in control of the situation. Have a think about what you want to ask her, what you really want to know about her. You can dismiss her question out of hand if you want, or turn it on its head.

It would be an exaggeration to say "a real man never answers a straight question", but that maxim might be of some help to you.

Good luck!

Whenever asked "What's new?" (Which is one of the most uninventive and boring questions a person can ask) I usually respond by saying something like "oh not much, cured aids last week, flew to the moon, and read the dictionary front to back" it tends to make them laugh and make the conversation more energetic from the start.

Although you have probably already missed any opportunity you might have had with this girl.

HB: What's new?
You: That cute smile on your face!
HB: "She WILL smile"
You: See there it is!

Do not wait for her response/reaction, just roll right into some other topic of discussion.

Remember that a girl decides if you are dating/sexually compatable within a very short timeframe. If you have been using her to cut your hair for a while, then you probably missed the boat. Also, hairdressers are like bartenders, they work for tips so being cute and flirty is part of their job.

Peace...

One question I hate from girls i am fucking is just the simple "how are you?"

At least with "what's new" you have something to work with.
