By Social Media do you mean online dating? or friends/crush on facebook, gmail etc? |

The problem with Facebook is the whole Friend Request thing sets the wrong tone for the interaction, it makes things too friendly. I wish there was a Fuck Request button on Facebook instead of Add Friend. |
