Post subject:  Talk to another customer at a counter in a shopping mall

I went to buy a windbreaker in a shopping mall this evening. At the counter when I was paying my bill, a female customer came to the counter to pay her bill. At that time, there were people, me, the counter lady and the female customer. The female customer looked gorgeous and I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't know what to say. After approximately 2 minutes, the female customer finished her payment and left the counter. I am wondering if you were in that situation and you would want to talk to the female customer, what would you say? Thanks.

Difficult to say without being there but I'd maybe say something based on something I saw in her shopping. For example, if I saw that she was a veggie that could be a way in as that's often an ethical choice and you can come across just as right on as she is. Just one possibility. Obviously helpful in that scenario if you don't have a basket full of burgers. :)

For some reason I always have problems with that scenario. It's like the women have a "waiting in line shield" put up. Nobody wants to be bothered by the guy standing in front of them turning around and saying some worthless comment about standing in line. It's already boring and aggravating enough as is.

I did this the other day to this girl with really bad acne scars. She wasn't even hot, but since she was a younger woman I figured I'd practice on her just to see how she'd react. I was actually being kind of funny but she just answered my question and then stood next to me silently and awkwardly. Again, I there is just something about lines that don't make them good hunting grounds for pick up.

I actually didn't stand in front of me. There were two customers, me and the female customer. The cashier, the female customer, and I was like a triangle. The female could see me and I could see her naturally, but it seemed that she didn't pay attention to me. I wanted to say something to her, but didn't know what to say.
